Havaianas is an iconic flip flop brand, and has been making their classic rubber flip flops in the same way in Brazil since 1962. They now come in almost any colour or print you could imagine, so naturally you probably need a pair to match each bikini. As someone overexposed to flip flops on childhood holidays (AND more importantly someone who doesn’t have a beach holiday planned any time soon) I’m staying well away for now, but having recently discovered that Havaianas makes espadrilles too, I will still be wearing the brand on summery day trips (and basically any other opportunity I get because they are obscenely comfortable).
One day last weekend I wore them with a lil pair of dungarees and a striped top, and sat in a park to read (Taipei by Tao Lin, a really excellent book by a really excellent contemporary author, if you’re interested).
If you do have a beach trip planned, firstly I hate you, and secondly you can find Havaianas showers on beaches all across Europe so Havaianas are sure to keep you cool this summer in every sense of the word. The UK even has one on Firstal Beach in Newquay! Take a peek at the video below to get you fully in the mood for your trip:
