Alexa Chung has got ‘it girl’ down to a tee. She has an undeniable magnetism, which means that everything she touches (and wears) turns to gold. She’s also very, almost iconically, British, so I think that a collaboration with everyone’s long-time high street fave M&S made a lot of sense. Upon first seeing the Archive by Alexa collection online, I didn’t think I’d actually end up with of it in my wardrobe. I loved the ruffle-y ‘Harry’ pieces but thought that they would be a bit much and wouldn’t suit my slightly top heavy frame. BUT I couldn’t resist a trip to M&S to try on some bits, and (clearly) ended up leaving with the ‘Harry’ dress in white, and the ‘Ada’ wide leg cropped trousers which jumped out at me much more on the rail than they did on the website, and fit so so wonderfully. More on those later.
On a recent actually-sort-of-warm day (u know, before it started SNOWING), I styled the Harry dress with a faux leather biker, a dark green trench, and some pointed ankle boots. I’m also wearing nude tights (M&S, obvs) because I’m not *that* brave.
