I live in London, I’m single, and I’m not rich, therefore the size and quality of my living space has been somewhat compromised. I work from home but my ‘home office’ is my bedroom, and I choose to work from cafés or, you know, bed for the most part. My available surface space is the top of a chest of drawers, which until now was allocated to my record player, a lamp and all sorts of tat that I couldn’t be bothered to actually put away at that exact moment.
Owning a printer in these circumstances seemed unfeasible, but trekking to the library and spending 4 hours on a computer from about 1926 to do any scanning or printing is not the way I want to live. Enter: HP Deskjet 3720, the world’s smallest all-in-one printer. A quick bit of rearranging later (putting books back on a bookshelf and moving my random foreign currency and unnecessarily large pot of hoop earrings elsewhere) and I had my new printer comfortably set up, and printed a few of my favourite snaps from a trip to America last summer. Handily, you can print wirelessly (including from mobile devices via a very easy to use app), and affordably with HP Instant Ink, an ink replacement service which saves you up to 70% on ink costs. It has ink levels in your printer monitored wirelessly and new ink cartridges sent out to you when you’re running low (starting at £1.99 per month) so you never run out.
(still enough space for essentials like coffee, Charlie Day illustration, novelty candle, birthday flowers and your three fave nail varnishes)
If you would like to win your own HP Deskjet 3720 with a year’s worth of HP Instant Ink and a pack of HP Social Media Snapshots photo paper, simply follow me on Instagram @hannahlouisef and share a photo of your desk-space on your own Instagram with the hashtag #HPShelfie. Competition ends October 12th. Good luck!
