I quite like a suit, every now and again. I tend to reserve them for, or rather only have the confidence for them on, ‘special occasions’ like fashion week (remember this, or this) or even an end of year ‘ball’ (wow throwback), but that’s a habit I’d like to break. A velvet suit *sounds* luxurious, but I think that this one (especially with its skinny fit trousers) works well worn casually over a roll neck jumper and, like a less shit version of Ed Sheeran at an awards ceremony, trainers.
The jacket and trousers I’m wearing here are both from La Redoute, and also come in burgundy, blue and green – I went with black as black has been dominating my day-to-day wardrobe at the moment (and a black velvet blazer is a great wardrobe staple, imo), but I think that the green or burgundy would be a dream for any Christmas party or event.

Really like the velvet this year. But I do not own any yet , I am afraid it’s gonna go out of style by next year. However, the suit looks gorgeous on you.
