It’s coat season! I hate winter, but I love coats. I also hate coats, because I cannot help but buy at least five new ones every god damn winter, and they take up a lot of space. My first foray into coat buying this season came in the form of this navy borg trucker jacket, a reasonable £40 from Missguided. I really like the slouchy silhouette (but sort of wish I’d sized up for a more oversized fit) and the colour – the first navy coat in my extensive collection.
Here I’m wearing it over a basic (in every sense of the word, really) ‘corset’ t-shirt and exceptionally flattering (to the extent that I think I’m going to buy a second pair right now in case something happens to these) and easy to throw on ribbed ‘skinny flares’. I finished off my outfit with check slip-ons and new Versus Versace watch. I’m a big fan of the silicone over leather or metal, subtle but extremely cool Versace logo, and the £90 price tag putting it firmly in the affordable camp when it comes to watches (but you still get the cool logo!). It also comes in a very striking white, if navy isn’t for you.
