Dungarees are inherently a bit childish, which is fine of course, but not something you can get away with for every occasion. Dungarees are also one of my very favourite things to wear. Velvet has to have a moment around this time of year, and I am grateful that this season’s velvet trend has come together with the faithful overall to create these comfortable, classy and flattering black velvet dungas.
I’ll be wearing them with frilly blouses and heels and maybe a bit of faux fur for parties and dinners; for a daytime outing I paired the dungarees with a thin, flare sleeved jumper in this wonderful orangey yellow shade, Converse, and a good old beret.
