If you had told me six years ago that one day I would be gifted a piece of designer vintage, and taken on a helicopter ride across London by Farfetch because of this stupid blog, I would probably have pissed myself. I mean, a helicopter. It is easy to feel discouraged and deflated in this job, especially when your work is so tied up in your personality and entire self, but occasionally I am completely blown away by the opportunities that this little website brings me. Maybe even a bit proud.
The designer vintage in question is this faux fur Jean Paul Gaultier cropped jacket, which fits like a glove and isn’t as bulky as similar jackets I have tried and failed to pull off, which do not suit my relatively scrawny frame. I paired it with off white cropped cords from Weekday, a ribbed jumper and new velvet Converse One Stars (which I am obsessed with and extremely happy to have finally found a non-leather pair of these which are also nice).
And will I ever take off this beret? Probably not.
