Although I unfortunately wasn’t at the Supreme store launch on Thursday night, I did go and watch pop punk bands The Wonder Years and Such Gold play in Manchester. I often get asked what I wear to shows, so I decided to take a photo this time. I wore one of my friends’ band’s (Bays) T-shirts, Topshop leggings, Nike Air Max 90s, an American Apparel hoodie, and I actually ditched my Topshop leather biker jacket before I went because it was a warm evening and of course a sweaty venue. I posted it on Lookbook too, so go check it out and leave me some comments.

The highly anticipated Supreme store, the first in Europe, opened in London on Thursday. Despite already having seen images of inside the store, which ruined the surprise a little, photos from the launch event were certainly impressive! Upstairs is dedicated mostly to skate hardware and Supreme accessories, with the larger downstairs area housing Supreme’s entire clothing range. It looks unmistakably ‘Supreme’, and the Gonz’s bird sculptures, which occupy most of the free space, are definitely a focal point. The store opened at 6pm, and the after-party at a nearby club featuring a performance from Ghostface Killah continued into the night and was no doubt a spectacular event. Customers waited outside for over 24 hours for a chance to be the first to get their hands on some new Supreme gear, in particular the new Union Jack Box Logo t-shirts. Although I live up north in Manchester, I plan on heading down to London asap to take a look inside. Check out these photos from the event below, via The Daily Street.
Nothing much to say about this look! Some new accessories paired with some older clothes. Go check it out, hype, fan, and leave me some feedback. Don’t forget to comment with your Lookbook urls too so I can take a look at all your outfits.
I just love this Navajo wool parka coat from the Heritage Research Autumn/Winter 2011 collection. It’s the perfect statement piece for any man (or lady!)’s winter wardrobe, featuring leather binding and horn buttons, Riri zipper, Navajo Wool with cotton lining as well as reinforced shoulder panels and military cartridge pockets. It is, unfortunately, not affordable for everyone, but if you can justify spending £465 on a coat then I highly recommend you go an order one from Present now!
If you haven’t already seen, I absolutely loved the House of Holland SS12 collection at London Fashion Week. I was inspired by the oversized leopard print used on pastel colours, to create this nail art. I didn’t have the ideal colours to perfectly match the pieces in the collection, so I used a Ruby Hammer coral/pink shade with a Barry M lilac to create a gradient effect, then went over with a very thin layer of Bourjois ‘rose lounge’ shade to make the colours paler. Once this was dry, I used a MUA black with a dotting tool to create the leopard print! What do you think? Now I just need one of the fabulous House of Holland dresses to match!
The Unique SS12 show on Sunday at London Fashion Week was undeniably a real treat to watch (if only through my computer screen).
The inspiration behind Topshop Unique SS12 reportedly ‘came about when Karen Bonser, Head of Design, found herself watching Elizabeth Taylor in the iconic 1963 adaptation of Cleopatra. Captivated by the glamour and opulence of ancient Egypt, along with her design team, she began to explore what a modern Egyptian Queen would wear in urban London.’ (via insideout.topshop.com)
Upon watching the live stream of the show, the Egyptian influence was very clear through the use of gold, the hieroglyph-inspired prints, the stunning sandals and even the nail art! Unique SS12 featured a lot of sporty and slouchy silhouettes, which combined with the tighter fitting outfits, made this a perfect collection, somewhat reminiscent of 90s Hip Hop! The gorgeous colour palette was one of the best parts of the collection, featuring metallics, pretty pinks, whites and creams, as well as some striking black and white prints and the occasional dazzling turquoise. My personal favourite pieces included the chunky platform sandals and the horizontal striped, translucent calf-length skirts, although I loved everything else too! What are your thoughts? Check out these backstage images (via insideout.topshop.com/) and video clips of the show below.
Today was (finally) my 18th birthday! I’ve been for a lovely meal with my boyfriend and family, received some beautiful presents, and all in all had a really nice day. I wore this simple Topshop playsuit, which I bought from Steals, a discount shop in Blackburn, for about £8 years ago. I should wear it more cause I really like it! I paired it with my Vivienne Westwood Melissa shoes to make it a little more colourful.
Here are some of my gorgeous birthday gifts:
It’s my birthday tomorrow, so I tried cupcake nails for the first time especially for the occasion. Not the best, but they’re cuuute! I used a combination of Barry M, MUA, Topshop and Ruby Hammer pastel nail varnishes with an E.L.F matte top-coat, followed by an NYC white for the icing, H&M jade and Rimmel yellow for the sprinkles, and Number 17 red for the cherries.
Let’s be honest, we’d be surprised if we weren’t completely head over heels with the new Mulberry collection, shown today at LFW. Although they replaced my beloved pugs with some kind of terrier, this morning’s show was still something special. I have fallen for the combination of neon and nude colour palettes, as well as the sheer maxi skirts, the coats, the big, centre-parted hair, and of course, the bags. Check out some images from the show (via Vogue) and video clips (via Rightster) below.
As a Lancastrian like Henry Holland (who went to school 10 minutes down the road from where I live), I am always interested to see what House of Holland produce. It’s safe to say that I am amazed by this collection, shown yesterday at London Fashion Week, definitely my favourite of Henry’s career so far! The star-studded front row included Jade Parfitt, Pixie Geldof, Ellie Goulding, Eliza Doolittle and Nick Grimshaw. I absolutely adore the oversized leopard print, the bright, pastel colours, the snakeskin shoes, trousers and bralets, the use of leather, and I even love Henry’s choice of shirt! Check out these photos and video clips of yesterday afternoon’s show below, definitely not one to miss out on.
