It is that time again as ASOS, and by that I mean their 48 hours of 20% student discount! To celebrate I am giving away a £50 voucher to spend on whatever you want on ASOS. Can’t decide how to take advantage of the discount? Pictured above are a few of my favourite things from the ASOS ‘new in’ pages, all of which are under £50:
Coast is a shop which always comes to mind when I have a special occasion to attend. Their most fabulous dresses are often quite pricey, so the sale is the perfect time to plan in advance for an upcoming event! I’ve picked my four favourite dresses from the sale, and admittedly have featured another which is still full price but is so amazing I couldn’t not include it – the gorgeous structured Syrina LBD. The Syrina is nevertheless not extortionately priced at £95, it could be ideal for any posh night out or fancy party and could easily be worn multiple times with different accessories. The other dresses I featured were heavy on embellishement or lace; the Deco Maxi really has the wow factor and the Deline Sequin Dress is gorgeous (and slightly more conservative) version of the Jovani dress I wore on my birthday. I particularly love the allover lace Staten Dress too, which is a relatively affordable £65 on sale. Take a look at all the dresses in my edit below:
New favourite jacket alert! I had my beady eyes on the Topshop version of this luxurious looking shearling jacket but at £75 I wasn’t persuaded, so I was excited to spot this on the SheInside website. This is a faux suede texture rather than wool like the Topshop jacket, which I actually prefer, and although the quality is slightly inferior it is absolutely worth the £28.50 it costs. My skirt is also a new addition to my wardrobe from SheInside, the dark plaid and thick wool-like texture make it an ideal winter skirt and I love the wrap style. I opted for a simple black velvet t-shirt (mine is vintage but it’s one of my favourite winter wardrobe go-to pieces, you can get a similar version here), tights and boots to finish off the outfit. Finally I kept jewellery to a minimum with my usual Marc By Marc Jacobs watch and lovely new crystal pendant by Delilah Dust from The Little Deer.
The New Look sale is very hit and miss this year in my opinion, with the majority of pieces not really worth shouting about, but there are still some real gems on offer! My personal favourites are the two jackets I have included in this edit, especially the checked collarless coat which has been reduced from £59.99 to £18. I haven’t ordered anything online, but I will be nipping into the store when I get back to Manchester with my sights set on the £6 lace insert cami and the jewellery, as I think I have a few too many coats already.
Take a look at the bits I have featured below, clockwise from top left:
The wrap skort has received a little update in my wardrobe recently, and surprise surprise it’s tartan! I wore my black and white skorts to death over the summer so they haven’t made it out of my wardrobe in a while, but I couldn’t resist this checked version from Hidden Fashion (another super bargain at £10.49).
I feel I’m getting a little predictable with my fluffy jumpers, but I have been wearing these short sleeved Primark numbers in the place of t-shirts all winter now and definitely won’t be stopping! I threw on my go-to coat at the moment, this amazing grey ASOS slouch coat, and my current favourite Topshop Argo boots. Finally I’m wearing some adorable sun and moon earrings from Pretty In Black* (pictured below), I’ve been wearing these a lot recently and they’re only £4! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
The sales seem to start earlier and earlier each year, and now they have me spending my Christmas money before I’ve even got it! Here are some of my favourites from the sequins and shoes sections of this year’s Topshop sale:
Sequins
Can you ever have too many sequins? Clearly not. I find Topshop’s sequinned and embellished pieces to be a little overpriced normally, so the sale is the perfect time to snap them up. I bagged myself the pink sequin crop tee!
