I just can’t get over how perfect this skirt is! The ‘Aralynn’ skirt from Coast is the most gorgeous shape; the heavy fabric feels really luxurious and the pleats and slightly asymmetric hem give it a stunning silhouette. It seems mandatory for everyone to own a full midi skirt at the moment, and this is definitely the perfect formal take on the trend. Plus, it’s pink, so is definitely a win-win piece. I wish I had a wedding or super fancy garden party to wear it to this summer! Take a look at the rest of Coast’s SS14 collection online now.
Here I’ve paired the skirt with black – these ankle strap pointed heels from Primark go with almost anything, and I love my new satin wrap blouse from Glamorous.

Neoprene-like, ‘scuba’ fabrics are everywhere at the moment, and I love the structured look they create. Even the pleats of this fab Front Row Shop scuba skirt look much more boxy and structured in this fabric, and this boxy scuba crop top from Missguided is super versatile and is the perfect colour to pair with summer pastels as well as black as I have done here. To finish off my outfit I threw on my relaxed, slouchy coat and wore my hair long (with Halo extensions) and curly, to soften up the structured top and skirt. How do you feel about ‘scuba’ fabrics?

How fab is this Motel print, ‘Winter Rose Red‘? Perhaps this post isn’t aptly named, as I wore this outfit in the (comparatively) glorious sunshine yesterday when it definitely felt like spring had sprung! As well as the print, I love the style of this button down babydoll dress, adorable and super easy to wear. It is very short though, so taller ladies be aware (I’m 5’6″ and wearing size S). Yesterday I stuck with the red/blue of the print and paired the dress with my new bargain coat from Hidden Fashion – a bit of a bolder colour pairing than I usually go for but I felt a bit colourful thanks to the sun.

On Monday I was invited to #Shoetopia – a fab event hosted by intu Trafford Centre which kicked off their week of shoe-based activities. I went, along with some other Northern bloggers, to the 360 Champagne and Cocktail bar in the TC for an evening of shoes, including shoe cakes, a ‘style psychology’ presentation and shoe quiz. Take a look at my snaps from the event, and a little video interview I did below:
A short interview I did after the event – a little cringe-y but I’m including this because I know that most of you won’t have a clue what I sound like, and I’m always interested to find that out about bloggers I follow! As you can see I’m hardly a natural in front of the camera – if you ever wanted a reason as to why I don’t YouTube here you go!
Yummy shoe cupcakes by Zara Cakes, and Sally with the Lego Louboutins she won for scoring highest in the shoe quiz.
Blogger babes Victoria and Rosy drinking Skinny Champagne – a no added sugar alternative to higher calorie traditional champagne brands, by Thomson & Scott.
A style psychologist giving a presentation about what our shoes say about us. I can’t say I’m entirely convinced by the science and will not be avoiding people in bars based on their footwear choices, but it was an interesting watch!
And finally, the contents of the fab goody-bag that intu Trafford Centre sent us home with – I was over the moon with these Vans as I was genuinely considering buying a pair just a few days before the event! Thank you also to The Sweet Shop, The Body Shop, John Lewis for the adorable cup and saucer, Hotel Chocolat for the yummy truffles, and Steve Madden for the luggage tag. I also took home a cupcake (or four), of course.

Jacket – Primark | Playsuit – Missguided* | Bag – Primark | Boots – Missguided*
You might’ve seen on my Instagram that I received the cutest Valentine’s Day package from the lovely people over at Missguided last month. Amongst heart shaped chocolate goodies and some Rimmel make-up (now stocked by Missguided) was this fabulously romantic rose print playsuit. I love the fit and the lace trim, ideal for date night or perfect under a cropped jumper for a more casual outfit.
Here I wore it with my new baby pink faux leather biker, an absoulte steal at £25 from Primark! I have been eyeing up River Island’s real and faux leather versions (£120 and £60 respectively), so I snapped this up as soon as I saw it. It goes perfectly with this adorable baby pink mini satchel bag too, another bargain at £6.
How would you style a lace trim playsuit?

Coat – Front Row Shop* | T-shirt – New Look | Bag – Primark | Jeans – Vintage (similar) | Shoes – Daniel Footwear*
Slip-ons are enjoying a massive surge in popularity at the moment, a bit of a throwback to those of us who were fans of the classic Vans checkered slip-on back in the good old days. Thanks to Daniel Footwear, I’m taking part in the resurgence! I love these textured leopard slip-ons, which have a very ‘sports luxe’ feel to them and unlike their Topshop counterparts are lovely and comfortable. As you can see here they can really make an otherwise basic outfit!
Last weekend I wore mine with ‘mom’ jeans, a basic white t-shirt and current favourite pastel blue coat from Front Row Shop. At the moment I’m a fan of smaller, cross body bags, like this one which is a bargain £6 from Primark. I’m normally one for carrying around a giant bag so that I can take everything I might possibly need with me wherever I go, but I am trying to wean myself off them and onto more sensible bags like this one. How do you feel about slip-ons?

Cape – Lashes of London* | Dress – Yumi* | Necklace – Delilah Dust @ The Little Deer* | Shoes – Choies*
I love a good all black outfit every now and again. My latest LBD is this adorable lace insert number from Yumi, which is cute for daytime but the heavy fabric and lace detail make it perfect for dressing up too. Here I paired it with my new favourite cover-up, Lashes of London‘s ‘Daisy Chain’ cape, and a Delilah Dust Pendant from The Little Deer. I think this outfit has a bit of a witchy vibe, I’m probably trying to fill the style void left in my life now that AHS: Coven has finished. If I was a witch then maybe I’d swap my flats for some thigh high suede heeled boots a la Madison Montgomery, but sadly I’m not so I went for my cute Marc Jacobs esque dog flats from Choies instead.
I’m wearing something else new too – my hair! I have Halo extensions in, which I was kindly gifted at their blogger event last weekend. I’m in love with them, keep your eyes out for a full post about Halo!

Skirt – The Little Deer* | Jacket – Florence + Fred @ Tesco* | Bag – Topshop (similar) | Boots – Topshop
Ok, I actually wore this outfit on Monday but today is Friday and I’m wearing a Cure t-shirt so I couldn’t resist the lyrical post title! The shirt is my boyfriend’s; I have countless band t-shirts of my own but I find myself rarely wearing the ones that aren’t black with a white print. To his dismay I especially like this one, it goes with everything! Here I wore it with a super cute tartan skirt from The Little Deer, a really lovely site which stocks a great variety of independent brands, go-to chunky ankle boots (now on sale here on the Topshop site!) and big warm biker jacket from Tesco. I also went for a little print clash with this snakeskin print cross body bag I picked up in the Topshop sale.

Top – Fashion Union* | Skirt – Primark | Bag – Primark | Shoes – Vivienne Westwood
Primark are bringing in their Spring Summer collections and I can’t get enough! Fortunately (or unfortunately for my bank balance) my local Primark is a 10 minute walk from my flat, so I often find myself nipping in to see what’s new. Most recently I picked up this super cute gingham midi skirt (£12) and mini satchel (£6), both perfect for summer but I couldn’t wait to get them on. When I wore this outfit out I wore flats because I wasn’t doing anything special enough to warrant getting my Viv heart heels out, but the outfit looked about 80% cuter with them so I had to! My top is from Fashion Union, it’s a lovely shade of pale blue and I’ve been getting a lot of wear out of it already. Are you eyeing up any of Primark SS14?

Coat – Primark | T-shirt – New Look | Trousers – Lashes of London* | Shoes – Vivienne Westwood via Daniel Footwear*
I dug these amazing Lashes of London trousers out last week; I have had them since last summer but if you’re a size 10 you can still get them on sale for a bargain £20 on the Lashes website! I still love the interesting lace texture, and they’re a really flattering, semi high waisted fit. I wore the trousers recently with a blue coat and silver shoes, but opted for a slightly more subtle pale pink coat here and these adorable Vivienne Westwood Ultragirl flats. I love the grey and pink colourway, they’re super comfortable and they smell fantastic too! How do you feel about the lime green and pink combo?
