Ah, Christmas time. Everything looks marginally prettier than usual, I get a little time off to relax and hang out with my family, and it’s a real pain in the butt to go into town and do any shopping because it’s so freaking busy. Online Christmas shopping is really the only way to go! If you celebrate Christmas and need some gift inspo, I’ve put together this gift guide (the first of a few) which includes gifts for absolute everyone and anyone – friends or family, regardless of age or gender, at a variety of price points.
From this selection, I think my favourite thing (apart from the Grumpy Cat plush, of course) is the scratch map (a coated map poster which you can scratch off over the countries you have visited) – I really want one for myself! You can also get a deluxe version for £5 extra, and I think it would be the perfect present paired with something else travel related (like this, this or this, or a plane ticket / city break IOU if you’re feeling especially generous) for whichever friend or family member has the biggest case of wanderlust.
Records (pictured here are Neutral Milk Hotel’s In the Aeroplane Over the Sea and Lana Del Rey’s Ultraviolence) are one of my favourite presents to give – they’re always a fail safe with my boyfriend, but any record collector (or music fan who hasn’t quite started their collection but wants to) would appreciate their favourite band on 12″. Try to buy from independent record stores or labels if you can, or Urban Outfitters has a nice selection if you’re stuck.
I hope this is helpful, check out all the links to the above in the list below, and let me know what other categories of gift guides you’d like to see over the next couple of weeks!
