Swimsuit (worn as a top) – American Apparel | Shorts – So In Fashion* | Denim Shirt – Vintage | Trainers – Converse

How pretty are these shorts! They are super cool and comfortable for the hot weather, and another perfect festival piece if you’re heading to one this summer. I love the chiffon fabric and the detailed embroidery, and they’re very reasonably priced at £20 from SoInFashion.com. The other day I decided to wear them with my new nude American Apparel Malibu swimsuit, which I got for a bargain (compared to the £37 RRP) £8 in an online overstock sale. I’ve been living in the denim shirt pictured in the photos below during the recent hot weather, as it’s the perfect thing to throw on in the evening if it gets a little chillier – most of my other jackets are way too heavyweight (so not prepared for an actual summer!). This shirt was actually my mum’s, but you can pick one up cheaply in any vintage shop.

Frill Floral Playsuit – Missguided* | Trainers – Converse

Somehow we’ve ended up with an actual summer here in the UK, so it’s the perfect opportunity for me to get as much use as possible out of the summery pieces in my wardrobe. This playsuit from Missguided is super pretty, but also really comfortable as it is loose fitting and so great for hot weather. I love the coral colour, which would look great on someone with a tan, but I couldn’t resist it anyway and it matches my Illamasqua ‘Scandal’ lipstick perfectly. I’ll definitely be getting more wears out of this playsuit over the heatwave and my holiday to California in a few weeks (eek!).
