‘Festival goth’
Everything I’m wearing is from H&M’s Coachella collection*

It’s April(!), the sun is shining(!), and festival season is almost upon us. California will be getting everyone in the mood for crochet and fringing with Coachella about to kick off, and whilst we in the UK have to wait a while longer, it can’t hurt to start stocking up on denim shorts and bell sleeves ASAP. Festival dressing in all of the above is very cliched, but a cliche I can’t help but want to be involved in.
H&M have just launched their ‘Coachella’ festival collection with everything from faux suede shorts and slogan t-shirts to black lacey flares (which I absolutely must go back for), and so I popped in store to grab myself an outfit which I think would be most suited for a festival in the UK. Clearly our weather is more unpredictable than that of a SoCal desert in April, so I chose a few great basic pieces which I think could be layered with leather biker jackets and/or waterproof coats and wellies in the likely event that rain-proofing is necessary. If wellies aren’t needed, these shoes (worn with or without socks) are a perfect middle ground between ankle boots and sandals.
I personally feel that going with (almost) all black makes the cliche festival fringing, crochet and denim of this outfit more wearable outside as well as inside of a tent, PLUS mud is easier to get out of black than out of your prettiest white summer dress. Thoughts? Would you wear this to a festival?
