This summer I’m jetting off to Paris for a few days (eek! Suggestions for things to do and see welcome, please!), but I thought I’d throw together a little summer holiday wishlist from the George at ASDA holiday shop for those of you who need a reasonably priced last minute shop before a trip to sunnier climes. I picked all three dresses because I think each would be perfect to take from day to night, which is an essential for holiday clothes if you’re packing light! Similarly the embellished sandals (potentially my favourite of the things I chose!) are just as cute with the maxi dress as they would be with denim shorts and a bikini top. Happy shopping, and happy holidays!
Top – Topshop | Trousers – Primark | Shoes – My1stwish* | Jacket – Topshop | Necklace – Primark | Bag – BANK* (similar) | Hat – Missguided*
Hello! I’m really excited to share these photos – finally something outdoors that makes me look like an actual blogger! These were shot by the lovely Rachel around Manchester, I’m so pleased with how they turned out.
These fabulous trousers are clearly the star of the show – I took a trip to Primark after posting about my top 10 picks of boho printed trousers and found these! I love the fit, the colour, and the print – they’re pretty much ideal and are a bargain at £12. I also bought this Topshop top recently, with exactly these kind of printed pants and maxi skirts in mind. I bought the petite version so that it would be cropped just above the waistline of the trousers – it’s super versatile and the lace texture is really pretty too.
I have embraced the ‘boho revival’ in full and finished off the look with a Primark necklace and fringed suede bag from BANK. I’m also wearing the blogger approved chunky white Frances sandals from My First Wish. Let me know what you think!

Dress – SheInside* | Sleeveless Coat – Inlovewithfashion* | Hat – Missguided* | Boots – Topshop
Here’s that great SheInside dress I blogged about last week again! I think that this demonstrates just how versatile this dress is, this look feels much more casual and (dare I say it) “”edgy”” than the way I styled the dress up in the last post. I’m a big fan of this longline checked sleeveless jacket from ILWF, it’s the perfect additional layer for a monochrome or all black outfit like this one. Thoughts?

As you might have seen on my Instagram, this time last week I was getting ready to see One Direction VIP at the Ethiad with BooHoo! Although 1D isn’t a bad I listen to in my own spare time, it was a fab evening, and I felt very important up in one of the boxes. I had a full BooHoo outfit picked out for the occasion, but unfortunately it didn’t arrive in time, so this is what I wore instead. I’ve basically lived in this duster coat since it arrived from ASOS, it’s so simple and clean looking and I think looks a lot more expensive than it is. I want one in every colour! Here I wore it over a plain black v-neck peplum top from 6ks and amazing pale blue wide leg culottes which I’m very excited to have in my wardrobe for summer as they’re a great colour, but they’re also extremely cool and comfortable! I finished the outfit off with some new sandals from New Look. Whilst browsing the New Look site in search of some sandals I found myself completely spoiled for choice, they honestly have so many amazing pairs! I may or may not have ended up with three separate pairs of black slider style sandals, but hey ho. This pair was the most expensive of the three at (a still fairly reasonable) £29.99, but I’m so pleased with them! This was my first time wearing them and so I packed plasters expecting them to rip my feet to shreds, but they were so comfortable all night and I didn’t even need one plaster – v impressed!
What do you think? Would you wear this outfit to a big concert like 1D?

Happy Friday! Seeing as it’s Friday, I thought why not show you more of a party outfit, and oops it’s another satin slip dress! I hope it doesn’t look too much like I’ve thrown on a pair of boots with my PJs… I’ve paired the dress with my oversized sheer shirt, I like the continuity from the shirt to the sheer underskirt of the dress. I think jewellery is key to an outfit like this too, I have on a collection of random rings and some necklaces too, including this fabulously shiny gem by Fiorelli from Nigel O’Hara. This is a typical night out outfit for me, provided I’m not going anywhere too fancy! I think something like this is a good balance between dressy and casual whilst also being comfortable, without resorting to the fairly horrendous student night out uniform of denim shorts or disco pants, a crop t-shirt and converse! Would you wear this for a night out?

Coat – Missguided* | Top – SheInside* | Skirt – Warehouse | Hat – Missguided* | Boots – Topshop
Happy Monday everyone! Here’s an outfit I wore last week; another attempt to incorporate pastels into an outfit suitable for the rain we’re still having here in Manchester. This top from SheInside is actually really versatile, I’m going to be wearing it casually like I did here but I think it will also be fab with tailored trousers for a smarter look too. I did think twice about pairing the top with this amazing lilac coat from Missguided as the two are slightly different shades, however I think it works fine because they have similar hues and because the rest of my outfit is black. Thoughts?

Dress – Wallis* | Coat – H&M | Shoes – SheLikes | Earrings – La Moda*
Another day, another dress! Wallis kindly sent me this great bright coral pink dress, with the task of thinking about some occasions and places in my home city of Manchester that it might be suited to:
- Summer Wedding – this would be an ideal summer wedding dress, if I was invited to one! I always see fabulous looking wedding parties outside of venues such as the Town Hall and the Midland Hotel. I wouldn’t look out of place in one of those parties wearing this outfit, but of course it would be great for a wedding wherever you are in the country.
- Dinner – a fancy meal out is my favourite excuse to dress up, and eating out is something I do far more often than I should. I would probably only dress up like this for dinner to mark a special occasion, a birthday or anniversary for example, but it would look great at Austrilasia, Grill On The Alley or Manchester House.
- Girls’ night – now I wouldn’t wear this dress to a student club night, for example, but for a more sophisticated girls’ night out it would be ideal. Cocktails at Neighbourhood in Spinningfields, or Cloud 23 perhaps?
The dress itself is fab – it is plain and fitted underneath with a chiffon overlay, which falls to leave a split at the back, which I love. Of course the colour is great too! It’s the perfect match for my Illamasqua lipstick in Scandal. I’m also wearing earrings from La Moda’s new jewellery collection, which look an awful lot more expensive than they are (£8!), go-to pointed heels from SheLikes, and super basic H&M coat.
What do you think? If you know Manchester, do you agree with my choice of occasions and locations? Where would you wear this dress?

Dress – OMG Fashion* | Hat – Missguided* | Boots – Topshop
You might remember that I was lucky enough to see Miley Cyrus courtesy of BooHoo a couple of weeks ago – here is the outfit I wore! ‘What should I wear to a gig?’ is a question I am frequently asked on Tumblr, but my answer is always the same – it totally depends! Because we were seated for Miley, and it was at the huge Phones 4U Arena rather than one of the sweaty little pubs and clubs that most shows I go to are at, I took the opportunity to dress up a little. Speaking of gigs, I’m very excited to announce that I will be in the VIP Box with BooHoo for One Direction in Manchester on Saturday! I will be live tweeting and Instagramming throughout so be sure to follow me!
Anyway… this dress, which has a real For Love And Lemons vibe to it (check out that brand here or on ASOS here, if you’re not familiar), is from OMG Fashion – I love the faux lace effect of the print on the top half! Worn with my Missguided fedora, chunky Topshop boots and a dark lip (Limecrime’s ‘Wicked’ Velvetine) I think this outfit has a real ‘cute witch’ feel to it. ‘Cute witch’ is actually my boyfriend’s choice of phrase, but I will definitely take that as a compliment!

Dress- Primark | Jacket – Topshop | Shoes – ASOS
I’m off to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz……..
OK, so this outfit is verging on Dorothy fancy dress, but frankly I don’t care! I probably wouldn’t pair the dress with red shoes and pigtails (unless I was actually doing Dorothy fancy dress), but styled like this I think I can just about get away with it.
This is what I wore to a baby shower a few weeks ago – my boyfriend’s sister is due any day now, how exciting! I think that it would also be perfect for a summer wedding or even for prom if you wanted something a little different, perhaps swapping the black biker for a white or pastel pink one, and wearing some cute heels. It has just the right amount of netted underskirt (unlike the other Primark gingham skirts I have which don’t have an underskirt – see here and here), so it’s great for a more formal event. Equally, though, I can see myself dressing it down this summer with a loose fitting crop t-shirt worn over the top. The best part is that this adorable gingham dress is from Primark, and like the dress in my last post is only £17! What do you think? Too ‘we’re not in Kansas any more’?
I also think that my hair needs a special mention here – my usual feelings towards my hair are that I like the colour (thanks to my fantastic hairdresser), but other than that it’s fairly uninspiring and I’m generally very indifferent to it. However, after using Sleep In Rollers I actually LOVE my hair for once! Definitely a great purchase, would anyone like to see a full review?

Dress – Primark | Coat – eBay | Shoes – SheLikes* | Bag – Primark
Wow I have been so slack with outfit posts recently; this is the outfit I wore to Manchester Fashion Week, a whole five weekends ago – oops. You might remember I promised this post here! Anyway, I’ve finished university for the year, so at the moment I’ve all the time in the world to catch up with blogging.
This is definitely one of my favourite recent outfits. This amazing dress, which is almost a Burberry SS14 lace dress dupe, is a bargainous £17 from Primark. It comes in more colours too, but this turquoise is my fave! I was a huge fan of the whole Burberry SS14 embellished lace and candy coloured coats, so it’s great to be able to replicate that look on a budget. For MCRFW, I paired the Primark dress with my £2 eBay coat, SheLikes pointed heels, and Primark mini satchel which I discovered is luckily a perfect match for my shoes.
What do you think? Don’t forget to check out this look, and all my other Primark looks, on Primania – give me ‘Primarks’ and upload your own looks to win vouchers!
