How fab is this Motel print, ‘Winter Rose Red‘? Perhaps this post isn’t aptly named, as I wore this outfit in the (comparatively) glorious sunshine yesterday when it definitely felt like spring had sprung! As well as the print, I love the style of this button down babydoll dress, adorable and super easy to wear. It is very short though, so taller ladies be aware (I’m 5’6″ and wearing size S). Yesterday I stuck with the red/blue of the print and paired the dress with my new bargain coat from Hidden Fashion – a bit of a bolder colour pairing than I usually go for but I felt a bit colourful thanks to the sun.

Lace Flower

Dress – Yumi* | Belt – vintage | Shoes – ASOS

Continuing in the same vein as my last post, here is another outfit which I think would be perfect for a wedding! This gorgeous dress by Yumi isn’t as ‘pastel pretty’ as the one in my previous post, but it’s still super feminine and would flatter anyone. The added texture of the lace and the use of only two colours makes the floral print a little bit different, and it is definitely a stand-out piece. It is also available in black and white, but I went for the blue as I think I have overdone monochrome slightly over the past season. Here I paired it with a simple white belt and super cute toe-capped shoes from ASOS.

Tropical | Holiday Wear @ Matalan

Dress – Matalan* | Sandals – Matalan* | Sheer shirt – Urban Outfitters

I recently received an amazing summery package from Matalan, which included these two fab pieces. The dress is this Floral Sundress which was a bargain £8 and is now on sale for only £5! It is now unfortuantely sold out in most sizes and colours online, but you should definitely check your local store as it’s perfect for the hot weather we’re having and for my holiday next month. I’m also wearing Matalan’s Tripe Buckle Sandals which are also very reasonably priced at £14. These are my most comfortable pair of sandals as they don’t rub – they are a little too flat for me to walk around in all day but if you’re not going to be super active then they’re perfect. What do you think of Matalan’s summer range?

Summer Flowers

Yesterday I enjoyed the nice weather in this super cute vintage style tea dress from bonprix. Also available in red, it looks great belted or not and would be flattering on almost any figure. I wore the dress with my battered old vans yesterday, but a cute pair of white brogues or some strappy sandals would make an outfit perfect for a summer BBQ or garden party, or casual meal out.
