After being impressed by Primark lipstick and nail varnish, I decided to try out their £1 ‘Volume Boost Mascara’ when I ran out of my go-to Max Factor False Lash Effect. Overall I am impressed! The packaging is simple, however for the price unimpressive packaging not an issue for me. The brush (pictured below) is not for those who prefer a really thick, fat brush, however it is easy to be accurate with and separates your lashes reasonably well.
Below is a photo of my eyelashes with three layers of Primark Volume Boost mascara on them. It is a true black shade and builds nicely. Although it isn’t my favourite mascara ever, it really is worth picking up for just £1! I personally will be using it in combination with a more expensive mascara such as Max Factor False Lash Effect or L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes so that they last longer, however as a back up it is perfect on it’s own!
After seeing the above photos floating around Tumblr, I was dying to try Comme Des Garcons Play logo nails for myself! I traced the photos back to the amazing Elizabeth Monson, check out her blog here. My nails certainly aren’t as perfect as Elizabeth’s, but I’m still really pleased with them, I never want them to chip! Check out my attempt below, for the base coat I used ELF’s ‘Nude’ with a Rimmel matte top coat and for the red I used Filthy Gorgeous’s ‘Noelle’. If you’re going to try this look you should file the ends of your nails into a point to achieve the heart shape. What do you think?
I haven’t posted about my nails in a while, so here are a few snaps of what they’ve been looking like recently!
