I love love love this Rare London paisley dress! I always envy people who can pull off that super effortless ‘boho’ look, but I think that this dress is pretty much made for that style. Maybe one day I’ll pair it with a crochet cardi or a shaggy vest and some feathered earrings (for a quick trip to Coachella), but for now I kept it simpler with my leather biker, a few rings and black suede Clarks Originals Desert Boots. I finally got my hands on this pair of black Desert Boots last week after wanting them for years but never getting around to it; I own the brown Desert Hugs but these are much more versatile and are such a classic shoe, I can’t recommend them enough! The dress has a really cute cut-out detail on the front and ties together, but the temperature at the moment warranted a black vest underneath too. I can’t wait to wear it in summer!

Baby Blues

Surprise surprise, another coat! I’m currently obsessed with this super oversized baby blue number from Front Row Shop; I love that it is so long and that the collar is huge, it’s definitely the kind of coat you can throw over any plain outfit to make it pop. Earlier this week I wore it over a fairly simple black and white outfit, made up of my AX Paris faux leather trousers, jewelled collar t-shirt from Primark and Nike Roshe Runs. Because the t-shirt has an embellished collar I didn’t wear many other accessories, other than my amazing Jana Reinhardt ring which is currently on sale for £65. What do you think?

I’m back! Exams are over and I finally can get back into the swing of blogging, and actually getting dressed most days as opposed to living in my pyjamas. I hope that everyone else who has had exams got through them alive, and a massive good luck to everyone who has them at the moment!

I have accumulated a little collection of lovely new clothes over exam period, which I’ve been really excited to wear, so yesterday I threw on a bunch of them at once. I wore my new, super cute bargain £9.99 velvet dress from Karma Clothing with a black and white floral kimono from In Love With Fashion, and continued the monochromatic theme with this gorgeous statement necklace from Chelsea Doll. I wore one of the latest additions to my coloured coat collection over the top, this gorgeous purple toned baby blue boyfriend coat from Fabric Boutique. I love the style and shape, and of course the colour, and it’s also much warmer and cosier than many of my other similar coats too which is a bonus.

Vinyl Vision

I don’t mean to ~”toot my own horn”, but I really love this outfit! I was very excited to receive a Missguided package containing this beautiful pale blue fluffy cropped jumper and fab PVC midi skater skirt, which I chose both because I really like them individually, and because I’m currently obsessed with this particular combination of textures. Both pieces are £19.99 which I think is great value, especially compared to the very similar Topshop versions (you would be shelling out £55 for the skirt alone!). I also wore my latest purchase – this amazing ‘Coatigan’ from ASOS. I have had my eye on it for weeks and finally decided to hit purchase, typically two days before ASOS did their 48 hours of 20% student discount! As annoying as that was, I’m still very happy with it – it is super cosy, I love the colour and the oversized collar and fit, and it’s great for layering.

Minty Fresh

Pastel outerwear is my ideal way of wearing pale colours in the winter, so I was very excited to receive this adorable mint green coat from SheInside. Another bargain at £30.51, it is just too good to pass up! Plus, thinking ahead, I feel like it will be the perfect transitional piece when it comes to spring. Here I’m wearing it with the latest addition to my fluffy jumper collection, this super cute cropped, off-white number from Karma Clothing. Fluffy jumpers and cardigans of every shape and style are definitely becoming a winter staple for me! I’m also wearing my favourite trousers at the moment: these high waist peg trousers in the perfect soft shade of light grey – currently on sale for a very good value £24.50 at ASOS. I finished off the outfit with a pale pink belt (Primark, old) and fab Topshop silver cut-out shoes which I still can’t get enough of. How do you feel about winter pastels?

Mesh Jumper

Outfits don’t get much more simple than this, but sometimes I think simple is the most effective. I love the cut out mesh detail of this jumper, which has a texture similar to a neoprene Topshop jumper I almost bought many months ago. This one is far more exciting however, the detailed embroidery and cut outs make it a real statement piece, and now is the perfect opportunity to buy as Miss London have 30% off everything this week only with code ML30DISC! I paired the jumper with my favourite black skinny jeans by Cheap Monday and fab new boots from Barratts – they’re a little higher than my usual everyday footwear but they’re still comfortable to walk in and I love the subtle gold metal accents. Faux Furry

Faux fur gilet – Missguided* | Dress – Missguided* | Leather jacket – Topshop | Boots – Topshop

Missguided are really killing it with their selection of clothes, shoes and accessories at the moment, my wishlist gets bigger every time I visit their ‘new in’ pages! The two pieces are the top of my wishlist this time around, however, were this brushed silk skater dress and faux fur gilet, which I think look great together but are also super versatile too. As well as grey and baby blue, I love grey and pretty much any shade of pink for this winter, and so slowly but surely and sort of by accident I have been building up quite a vast collection of all sorts of items in those colours… oops. The one thing I find tricky about wearing pale colours in cold weather is that I have to wear black tights to keep warm, which I feel sometimes ruins the overall effect a little. Here I tried to avoid this by wearing a black leather jacket under the fur gilet, because I think that wearing some black on the top half of the outfit balances out the tights a little better. What do you think?

Grey Blue

As you may know I’m obsessing over pink for this winter, however grey and baby blue are a close second and third in my colour palette at the moment. I particularly love the shade of this Motel ‘Jude’ playsuit, as well as the super flattering shape, cool kimono style sleeves and its versatility. Here I wore it with a new fluffy cardi from Primark, they have so many amazing fluffy knits in at the moment and at a very reasonable £14 I couldn’t resist this one! I will definitely be dressing this up too, maybe with a pop colour belt and some big old platform heels.

Fit & Flare | Yumi Blogger Style-Off

I was recently invited to participate in a blogger style-off by online store Yumi Direct, and here is what I came up with! I chose to style this really simple textured fit & flare dress, because I love the classic shape and length and I think that the subtle textured print is a really nice touch. I’ve also found that it translates really well into business-wear with a fitted black blazer and court shoes!

With the return of ‘grim up north’ type weather comes the return of predominantly black outfits for me – not that that is a bad thing of course! Here I’m wearing a super versatile wardrobe essential, a daytime appropriate LBD. Mine is the short and sweet Plain Swing Dress from AX Paris, which is a reasonable £18 and also comes in a number of different colours and prints, and is very wearable, comfortable and flattering. I already have a million more ideas for outfits involving this dress, but here I paired it with my loose fitting embroidered bomber jacket from SheInside, which I love! It’s a great alternative to a plain black bomber, and is a bargain £21. My boots are the usual favourites from Missguided, and my hat is also from Missguided. I do find all black much easier to wear with red hair than I did when my hair was dark (many moons ago!), but I added a red lip (Limecrime ‘Red Velvet’) to inject a little more colour into my outfit.
