A few weeks ago I was invited down to Cow’s Manchester studio (located in their extremely snazzy new Northern Quarter store, which you should definitely check out if you live in Manchester and haven’t been yet) to curate a selection of 100% vintage, 100% Cow outfits. Here are three of them!
LOOK #1
Now, you can shop most of the outfits I put together for this feature on the We Are Cow website right now, however you can’t shop this jumper because I couldn’t leave without it! Soz. It’s so cosy and I love the autumnal colours and really unique cow skull detail, which is on both the front and back. I thought it would be a great way to continue the Western-ish, boho-ish vibe, that I have been enjoying over summer, into the colder weather. I paired the jumper with a leather mini skirt, a wardrobe essential! This one (linked above) has a particularly cool subtle, black-on-black print on the waist and side panels.
LOOK #2
One of my favourite outfits of the day had to be this one. This amazing, gothic lace midi skirt was one of the first things I picked up from the shop floor. I think you could create some beautiful evening looks with it, but I wanted to ‘grunge it up’ a bit, and chose this incredible AC-DC World Tour ’88 t-shirt to pair with it.
LOOK #3
Cami – We Are Cow (similar, £10) | Jeans – We Are Cow, £26
Checked shirt – We Are Cow (similar, £22) | (trainers my own, Vans Sk8 His)
My third look is way more casual – this sort of thing is my go-to ‘don’t really know what to wear so I’ll wear this again’ look, and I often wear variations of this to shows (or ‘gigs’ if you prefer) as it’s comfy, practical, and looks ok too. Throw on a leather biker jacket and voila! I really like this pair of mom jeans, unfortunately they were too big on me (severely belted for these photos!) otherwise I feel like I probably would have left with them too. Cow has a great selection of checked flannel shirts, online and in store, don’t forget to check the men’s section for the best ones!

And thus concludes part one of my We Are Cow Blogger’s Choice blog posts – you can check out the feature along with a little interview on the Cow website here, and shop everything you see (as well as a few other items I picked out but didn’t get to shoot) here. Check back soon for part two with three more vintage look, and do let me know in the comments which your favourite is. There’s a little video of my day with Cow below, and more photos after the page break.
