Unless you’ve been living under a rock (or just don’t read beauty blogs) you’ll probably know that NYX is now readily available in the UK – in Boots, Selfridges and on ASOS beauty. I have got my hands on a few bits, including two of the ‘jumbo lip pencil’. Thanks to the pencil shape tey are really easy to apply precisely – in these photos I have neatened up the edges using a small amount of concealer, but if you’re in a rush (or don’t like an ultra sharp edge to your lips) they’re not at all difficult to apply neatly.
‘Soft Fuchsia’ has fast become my go-to ‘like my lips but a bit nicer’ colour – the texture is really creamy and moisturising but the coverage is opaque, I’m not wearing any other lipliner in the pictures shown. I’m also super into ‘Maroon’ – a much bolder shade which is the perfect burgundy, red wine colour. I find that deep reds are often a little too purple-y for me but this one is a warmer tone. As with ‘Soft Fuchsia’, the texture is creamy and the coverage is fairly opaque, although when worn over a lipliner you get an even fuller, bolder look (see this selfie for reference). The only real downside to these is that they don’t twist up and so won’t last very long, but they are very reasonably priced at £5 each. NYX is also a cruelty free brand – you will only be seeing cruelty free beauty on my blog from now onwards!
