Orange was one of the biggest colour trends on the SS13 catwalks, with designers like Helmut Lang, J Mendel and Carolina Herrera sending models out in head-to-toe tangerine, and it’s a colour I’m really loving at the moment! Although I’m not seeing many other signs of summer here in Manchester, the highstreet is full of summery shades, from burnt orange to carrot to apricot and everything in between Below are a few of my favourite picks from Topshop:
Crepe Tee Shift Dress, £42 | Cropped Beaded Jacket, £95 | Orange Calf Skater Skirt, £35 | Strappy Cami Top, £18 | Khan Animal Slippers, £58 | Round Preppy Sunglasses, £16 | Tangerine Scallop Bikini Top, £18, and Pants, £12
Orange is a colour that I think most pale-skinned red-heads would leave to the darker skinned brunettes and blondes, but (to either my credit or my detriment) that won’t stop me! I’m particularly tempted to get my hands on the Crepe Shift Dress pictured above, and I recently fell in love with the Calf Skater Skirt after wearing it on a photoshoot. During my pursuit of all things orange, I found an amazing Givenchy Antigona style bag on eBay (buy here, pictured below) for a bargain £11.68 which I quickly snapped up – a great place to start if you’re not quite ready to wear the trend head-to-toe.
I put together this little collage of my favourite current pieces from Lashes of London in the hope of winning £200 to spend on gorgeous Lashes clothes! The six things at the top of my wishlist are:
I love the pretty lilac hues for spring/summer, the matching pieces and the fact that each of my selections could be paired with another, and of course the sequins and sparkle!
If you’re a blogger you can enter this competition yourself (details here), but if not Lashes are running another competition to win £100 over on their Facebook page. Good luck!

Last week I modelled for a styling student, Lauren Woods, who wanted to create something based on the concept of ‘six impossible things’ from Alice In Wonderland (hence the weird and wonderful props) and inspired by SS13 fashion. I really enjoyed the shoot, and the photos turned out great! None of the outfits are my own or my styling, however I love most of them – especially the beautiful silver sequined dress, the pretty tea party outfit and the fab House Of Holland inspired dungareers, gittery bralet and beanie combo – so I want to share them anyway. Check out some of the images below, and hype a couple on Lookbook here and here.
