Last night I went home to go out for tea for my dad’s birthday! It was lovely seeing my family, and I wore this gorgeous Lovestruck dip-side dress. It was a smart/casual sort of place, so I wore the dress with black tights and creepers and my new Primark boyfriend coat, but it could easily be dressed up with a pair of heels. I also used this amazing Primark clutch which is practically identical to a Topshop one but £6 instead of £38.
I’ve been spending my life away in Primark at the moment, would anyone be interested in a little ‘haul’ post?

Getting dressed up for a night out doesn’t mean you have to wear heels! For those of you who struggle to endure a whole night in 5″ platforms, spiked or studded flats are a great alternative. I’m wearing the Studded Flat Shoes* from Missikon – they look amazing and are practical for a night out as well as being easy to dress down for a day-time look. I would strongly advise buying a size up from your usual in these, because they are small fitting.
My top is the Gold Sequence Dress*, also from Missikon, and I have tucked it into my trusty black American Apparel Disco Short.
While you’re checking out Missikon, you should also go to their Facebook page and enter their giveaway to win a GHD goodie bag!
These shoes are insane, as anyone can see! Size-wise they’re quite small-fitting, I would recommend going half a size down if possible. They aren’t too difficult to walk in if you’re used to heels, but the sole is very narrow so I personally am probably going to save these for evenings out which involve more sitting down, meals and parties for example, rather than nights out in clubs as I wouldn’t want to go over on my ankle!
Recently I’ve been seeing a lot more of English/Spanish brand Sister Jane, and I’ve been nothing but impressed! The brand, which was founded in both London and Madrid, combines femininity with edginess and vintage inspiration with current trends to create collection after collection of stunning and completely wearable pieces. Sister Jane have a website which showcases all their collections including the most recent and arguably the most impressive ‘Silver Spells‘, however if you want to purchase something you have to go through one of their stockists, the most popular UK based of which are Topshop and ASOS. Both stockists have selected a good range of Sister Jane pieces, take a look at some of my favourites below – I’m dying for the metallic floral shorts and jacket!

Yesterday I arrived home to these beautiful shorts courtesy of Lavish Alice, and gorgeous stockings which were a gift from Tights Please! I decided to combine the elegant Charnos Marilyn Stockings with the statement shorts, as well as a loud, neon jumper (from Glamorous) and simple studded flats from Topshop to create an outfit of mixed textures which would be perfect for a casual evening out when the weather isn’t so warm. My shorts and jumper are both quite obnoxious pieces (in the best way possible, in my opinion!) so I kept accessories to a minim with dip dye earrings from Primark.
I recently received this gorgeous dip dye blazer courtesy of Romwe, I’m in love! It’s similar to a Topshop blazer which I could never quite afford so I jumped at the chance to use my Romwe freebies to purchase this version. You can pick one up here on sale for £47.83 or $71.24 with free delivery, and if you use the discount code at the bottom of this post you can get an extra 15% off!
Here I wore my blazer with a simple white shirt accessorised with a gold collar necklace, high waisted denim shorts and pink glitter spiked slippers, also from Romwe.
Marbling is one of my favourite nail art techniques because it’s so simple and yet the results are really striking! Here I used MUA’s Shade 16 (pink) and Technic’s ‘Lolli Pop’ (lilac) together to create the marble effect, for instructions on how to do this check out my post here (much easier than the water bowl method!). I also added a few gold circle studs to my ring finger and thumb nails. They’re really easy to apply, simply use tweezers or your fingers and place them onto slightly wet nail varnish and press them in lightly – you can get these studs on eBay for under £2 here.
