It’s bloody fashion week. The job of a blogger like myself at fashion week is an odd one. In my opinion, my reporting on looks from shows in a magazine style is somewhat redundant: I do not necessarily get invited to see every collection that I would like to see and therefore cannot properly give a good or curated enough range of coverage, and my photos are absolutely not as good as those from the photographers’ pit. Being at shows in order to be ‘seen’ to be at shows is also a rather strange concept. Alas, I do really, genuinely enjoy fashion shows, and somehow I find myself able to see the likes of Ashley Williams, Gareth Pugh, Mary Katrantzou, Ashish, Bora Aksu, Eudon Choi and Clio Peppiatt in the flesh, alongside (or for the most part behind) some of the most influential people in and out of fashion. I feel like my purpose as a blogger is more to share the ~experience~ of fashion week through my social media (I’ve been snapchatt-ing and story-ing my lil butt off @hannahlouisef) and, of course, to try to wear something a little bolder than your average.
My outfit here, for the second day of fashion week, came about in a panicked pre-LFW shopping trip. I found a section of H&M dedicated to various items in this flamboyant candy pink shade and decided to buy this skirt, then happened upon this incredible jumper with a contrast collar in the exact same shade in the Boutique section of Topshop – it was meant to be. I am particularly pleased with myself about the jumper as it nails my favourite colour combo all by itself, and I will be getting plenty of wear out of it now that it is actually kinda cold again.
This outfit was also the perfect match for the ‘concept room’ (pink balloons!) at this year’s The Apartment, and the pink balloons are a perfect match for my birthday today 0:-)

What a gorgeous gorgeous look! I love that you have red hair and still embrace bright colors. I didn’t like doing that for a long time, but I am learning to now!
