Dress – SheInside* | Sandals – Topshop

I’ve been making the most of the lovely weather by cramming in as many summery outfits as I can! This weekend I wore my new Sass & Bide inspired dress from SheInside – a bargain at £22. The bright colours of the top part are perfect for a sunny day, and they allow you to be creative with jewellery or accessories as you can wear anything in the pinks, blues, greens and blacks of the dress without it being too much. I wore mine with black jelly sandals from Topshop (an old item unfortunately, but you can get similar here), Prada style sunglasses and YSL style ring both from eBay (similar here and here), Topshop earrings and super sweet Marc By Marc Jacobs disc bracelet (finally something which is actually a designer brand!).

Unfortunately the SheInside dress only comes in ‘one size’, I would say it fits approximately like a UK size 8/10 but there is some stretch to the top – do check the measurements on the item page too!

YourEyesLie: Navo Crop Top

Here’s a look at the second item in my YourEyesLie.co.uk package, the Navo Crop Top. Normally I choose to avoid v-neck tops but I love the cut of this one and the print is so cute! The pale pink colour is ideal for summer too. Here I’ve paired it with mint green skinny jeans from Primark, a studded shoulder vintage denim jacket and Nike Air Max 90s. I’m also wearing a new ear cuff! What do you think?

New In picks of the week: River Island

You might’ve seen how impressed I was with the River Island Spring Summer 2012 when images from it were released back in February, so I’ve decided to select items from River Island’s ‘Just Arrived‘ pages to feature in my first ‘New In picks of the week’ post. All of the following items caught my eye immediately and if money was no object I’d definitely be picking them all up!

Blue Dip Dye Pacha Denim Shorts, £35

A perfect and subtle way of incorporating the ongoing dip dye

trend into your life without bleaching the ends of your hair! The

sky blue colours are perfect for summery weather too.

Orange Scarf Print High Waisted Bikini Briefs, £14

Although I don’t have any holiday plans for the summer

which involve lying on a beach or swimming (boo), these

biniki bottoms are perfect! The high waist is much more

flattering than standard biniki briefs, and the scarf print

is bang on trend.

Light Blue 3/4 Sleeve Blazer, £35

Whether you wear it for college, work or just for a day out, this

lightweight blazer in a pretty pastel blue is the ideal way to

add some structure to a summery outfit!

Black Embellished Racer Front Dress, £35

The gold embellishment on the front of this dress is

very Versace – what’s not to love?

Pink and Leopard Chain Print Crop Top, £15

Another ‘scarf print’ piece, a pattern which River Island

seem to be extremely fond of at the moment! And rightly

so, this crop top is gorgeous and only £15.

Green Zig Zag Print Top, £45

How could I not include something neon in my

selection? This zig zag print top is perfect for those

who aren’t quite ready to wear neon as a block colour,

but is still a great statement piece.

Grey Print Julian J Smith T-Shirt Dress, £60

Subtly incorporating a neon colour in a not-so-subtle

bold print, this t-shirt dress would look perfect with

these RI wedges.

Black Aztec Embellished Tunic Top, £100

This gorgeous piece can be worn as a top over skinny

blue jeans during the day or as a dress with a pair of killer

heels in the evening, either way you’re sure to turn some heads!

Latest Lookbook: Navajo

Here’s a closer look at my new navajo/aztec print jacket which was just £10 from Cow in Manchester! It is a little big, but after wearing it for a day I completely love it. I definitely want to pick up some more bomber jackets for the upcoming season. Topshop have some really nice printed bomber jackets, but I am wary of buying a ‘loud’ print from somewhere like Topshop (where the chances are that a lot of people will buy the same item as you) because it can often be disappointing and even embarrassing! Buying a vintage printed jacket is much more rewarding and unique and often a lot cheaper too.
Today I wore my jacket with my American Apparel Disco Pants, a suede vest from Urban Outfitters and my Nike Air Max 90s.

Latest Lookbook: Aztec pocket

Today I received a very belated birthday present from my girl friends at college (my birthday was in September!), but one which I am still in love with – the American Apparel Disco Pant! I’ve been yearning for a pair of disco pants for years but couldn’t bring myself to splash out the £70, so they were the perfect 18th birthday gift. I strongly recommend that every girl has a pair of these in any colour, they’re fabulous.

Here I’m wearing them with a pocket t-shirt which I made myself. These, along with other prints, will be available to buy on thepocketco.bigcartel.com in the next few days, so keep your eye out! In the mean time, follow The Pocket Co Tumblr to keep updated. I’m also wearing my Carhartt beanie and the trainers which were a Christmas gift from my boyfriend – my Nike Air Max 1 Beets. Not to everyone’s taste but I think they’re gorgeous!

Gold aztec nail art

Here’s a quick snap of my latest nail endeavours. For Christmas I received Models Own ‘gold rush’ nail varnish and also the Models Own x Wah Nails black nail art pen, which made this design so much easier! What do you think?

Heritage Research Wilderness Parka Navajo Wool

I just love this Navajo wool parka coat from the Heritage Research Autumn/Winter 2011 collection. It’s the perfect statement piece for any man (or lady!)’s winter wardrobe, featuring leather binding and horn buttons, Riri zipper, Navajo Wool with cotton lining as well as reinforced shoulder panels and military cartridge pockets. It is, unfortunately, not affordable for everyone, but if you can justify spending £465 on a coat then I highly recommend you go an order one from Present now!
