Outfit Of The Day | Drop Hem Dress and a bit of a #TBT

A serious #TBT / I completely forgot to upload this outfit post! These photos were taken in the beautiful city of Geneva, I visited very briefly at the end of my family holiday to Paris and Lyon this summer as I flew back from Geneva airport. As you can see, the weather was great and I couldn’t resist getting a few outfit snaps (on my phone because I stupidly forgot to pack my camera battery charger) on the waterfront with the Jet d’Eau in the background.

My dress is from French Connection – you might’ve seen it on my blog before here – and it’s now on sale for a very reasonable £36. I love the oversized pleats and detail on the back! I wore it with a Missguided nude suede jacket, statement sunglasses, and fave holiday footwear, my ultra comfy Nike Roshe Runs.

Outfit Of The Day | Peach Co-ord

There’s nothing cooler than a co-ord at the moment, but rather than the super skimpy stringy crop vest and mini skirt pastel numbers that are popular I wanted something more wearable in the current temperatures, so I couldn’t resist this BooHoo peachy pink co-ord when I came across it. The crop sweater and skirt combo has a sports-luxe vibe to it, whilst the faux cable knit and shade of pink keep it cute. I wore mine simply with all black tights, boots and a leather jacket, but when the weather is warmer and I’m feeling braver I’ll definitely rock bare legs and some trainers!

Tartan Trousers

What good is a winter wardrobe which doesn’t feature a bit (or a lot) of tartan? I found these trousers in Primark a few weeks ago (in their formal section along with a matching blazer which I didn’t quite have the guts to buy to complete the tartan suit, although I am somewhat regretting that decision now!). I love the dark colours and lack of red, I think that avoiding red tartan trousers altogether is the easiest way of sidestepping looking like you’ve bought a “Punk” costume for Halloween (that’s not to say that some people can’t rock them though). These are very subtle and easy to wear, and the shape is really great too!
Here I paired them with a mesh paneled top from Choies, amazing new imitation suede and sheepskin biker jacket from H&M. The jacket was a bargain £30 because I used a 25% discount code from an H&M email (I would definitely recommend signing up to their mailing list!), but even at full price (£39.99) it is definitely affordable and makes a nice change from the usual leather biker.
