Multiple pairs of sunglasses are a summer essential, and although whatever little summer we had is technically coming to an end in the UK, the weather is forever unpredictable and so sunglasses are always a handbag essential. Here are a few of my favourite shapes and styles, all from Sunglasses Shop.
Ray-Ban 2140 Wayfarer – Black Gradient 823/32 50mm – £117
The Ray-Ban Wayfarer is such an iconic shape, a sunglasses collection isn’t complete without it or a similar alternative. The ombre trend is still going strong, so why not incorporate it into your outfit with a pair of gradient Wayfarers?
SXUC Mirrored Aviator – Silver 4167 – £20
The aviator is another timeless shape, and if your budget doesn’t quite stretch to a pair of Ray-Bans then this £20 mirrored aviator by SXUC is perfect.
Chanel 5230q – Black 13453c – £230
Who doesn’t want to own a pair of Chanel sunglasses? This pair are an absolute dream and are perfect for both casual wear and more formal occasions for anyone who is willing to splash a little more cash.
Miu Miu 01ns – Tortoise HAN2Z1 – £156
A great statement pair of sunglasses by Miu Miu: attention grabbing in both their cat eye-esque shape and their bold tortoiseshell print.
SXUC Kylie – Tortoise 28147 – £20
Statement sunglasses on a budget: this tortoiseshell pair by SXUC are reminiscent of the Miu Miu pair above, but are a much more affordable £20.
For the first time ever, Chanel’s FW12 Haute Couture show featured nail art (above) so naturally there has been some fuss about it! I decided to try out my own version of the ever-so-simple but effective silver and pink outline manicure.
- First I applied two coats of Orly Foil FX in ‘Shine’, then allowed my nails to dry completely.
- I then applied my pink – I used MUA Shade 16 (the nails at Chanel were a slightly paler pink than this, but you can use any pink for a similar effect!), leaving an even gap all around my nails except for the tip. You don’t need any special brushes for this look!
- I also added a small Chanel motif to each ring finger nail, which I got in a set for just 59p on eBay!
Body jewellery has become all the rage over the past months, from more subtle ear cuffs to full body chains. This head and face jewellery at Chanel Pre-Fall 2012 is the epitome of cool on the catwalk, but it is a wearable look? The theme of the show was Bombay-meets-Paris, which is reflected in the Indian-inspired nose jewellery, and personally I love it. Are these head ornaments a look you’d consider replicating yourself? For a more subtle version, try a jeweled headband like this or this, or you could even try pinning an old, broken necklace in your hair!
