In recent years I’ve become a bit of a trainer fiend, and although my beloved kicks don’t get much coverage on this blog I just had to post about my latest addition! The Nike Roshe Run Premium Digi Camo, an amazing women’s release which dropped on the Wellgosh store just the other day. The digi camo print is (obviously) amazing and the use of the port wine colour for the swoosh, stitching and the laces is a really nice touch, and Roshe is the most comfortable trainer I’ve ever worn! If you’re a UK size 4 then Wellgosh still have a few pairs left in your size here (at the time of this post), but don’t sleep on it because they’ll all be gone soon. Here I’m wearing them with a simple grey t-shirt dress from Topshop, a silver arm cuff I’ve had for years, sunglasses from Primark and a studded skinny belt from ASOS.
Although this ‘electric yellow’ jumper, courtesy of Glamorous UK, is not for those who want a subtle way to incorporate the neon trend in their outfits, I think it is the perfect statement piece for the trend and is ideal for those all too frequent spring and summer days where the sun doesn’t shine in England!
Click here to view and purchase the jumper at Glamorous UK, a bargain at only £17.99, but please be warned that it is much brighter in person than it appears on the photo on the website!
Here I’ve paired the jumper with a vintage black velvet shirt underneath so that the collar is visible, navy blue American Apparel disco pants as an alternative to an all black look, Liberty print Nike Air Max 1 trainers from their recent collaborative collection, an Alexander McQueen-esque skull print scarf from Primark and my trusty Topshop black leather biker to tie the look together.
I also tried this look with a less casual shoe: a nude and neon lace-up flat from H&M, which combination do you prefer?
Here’s what I’d define as ‘casual wear’, super comfy, boy-ish ‘street’ style. My predominantly pink Air Max 1s will be perfect in summer, I can’t wait to wear them with a pair of high waisted Levis shorts, but for now I’ve paired them with camel coloured jeans (Topshop), a t-shirt by The Hundreds, an American Apparel hoodie and The North Face jacket, a Stussy beanie and finally my new Jansport backpack.
