What do you think? Would you have guessed that almost my entire outfit is Primark?
I recently won this gorgeous vintage bralet from eBay for £4.99 and I’ve been so excited to wear it! It’s a beautiful velvet fabric with simple silver and pearl coloured embellishment on each of the cups. This evening I paired it with a chiffon maxi skirt from American Apparel, House of Holland fishnet socks from Tights Please, Underground creepers and an Urban Outfitters camo jacket for a dressed down / dressed up look for a friend’s birthday gathering. The colours aren’t very summery considering the fact that it’s July at the moment, however neither is the weather!
I also have a few items on eBay at the moment which end later today, take a look here and also check out hannahswardrobe.bigcartel.com.
Although this ‘electric yellow’ jumper, courtesy of Glamorous UK, is not for those who want a subtle way to incorporate the neon trend in their outfits, I think it is the perfect statement piece for the trend and is ideal for those all too frequent spring and summer days where the sun doesn’t shine in England!
Click here to view and purchase the jumper at Glamorous UK, a bargain at only £17.99, but please be warned that it is much brighter in person than it appears on the photo on the website!
Here I’ve paired the jumper with a vintage black velvet shirt underneath so that the collar is visible, navy blue American Apparel disco pants as an alternative to an all black look, Liberty print Nike Air Max 1 trainers from their recent collaborative collection, an Alexander McQueen-esque skull print scarf from Primark and my trusty Topshop black leather biker to tie the look together.
I also tried this look with a less casual shoe: a nude and neon lace-up flat from H&M, which combination do you prefer?
Yet another galaxy print piece, this time an asymmetric hem skirt from Romwe.com! I love both the print and shape of the skirt, definitely a great buy. With a skirt like this I prefer to keep the rest of the outfit simple to both make sure it’s not too ‘busy’ and that the skirt stands out, here I chose a black velvet bodysuit from Topshop and simple black heels.
I ordered these leggings from Topshop last week, after waiting forever for them to come online after seeing them in the lookbook! I absolutely had to have them. Here I’ve paired them with a blue velvet top because I love the colour clash of royal blue and gold/yellow, but they’ll also look great with a black velvet or sheer button-up shirt or a whole array of printed t-shirts.
I love pairing the colour red with leopard print – I bought this reworked vintage velvet cropped longsleeve from Blue Rinse recently, Blue Rinse is definitely one of my favourite stores for vintage and reworked vintage clothing. I loved this top so much that I had to have it in royal blue too!
On new year’s eve I went to a friend’s house party and wore my Miss Selfridge cosmic leggings and my black velvet shirt partially open with a lace vest underneath. I also wore my black creepers and a black leather biker jacket! I hope that all my followers and readers had as fun a new year as I did, and I wish everyone the best for 2012.
I’m in love with my new Primark leggings, especially because they were £6 as opposed to the practically identical Miss Selfridge version which are £20! Here I paired them with a black velvet shirt which I bought off ebay, also for £6 and my new black creepers. I accessorised with my new black buckles & straps satchel bag, a gold chain, gold & black replica YSL ring and a cute metallic hair bow.
