It’s almost boot season! Not that I have stopped wearing boots over summer, but now I can wear them even more. Woo! I have steered clear of knee high boots in seasons gone by; partly because they reminded me of school socks, and partly because they remind me of not-very-cool-mum style. Neither of these are particularly accurate or rational reasons, so I finally went for it this year in the form of this beautiful suede pair from Daniel Footwear. They’re incredibly soft and comfortable, and now I am fully won over and need a leather or faux leather pair that I can wear when it rains! This particular pair is undeniably very expensive (£239!) but you are paying for quality, and if you have that money to spend I would absolutely recommend them. If you’re after a high quality but slightly cheaper pair, you could go for these or these.
Continuing with the suede theme, I’m also super happy with this new khaki faux suede jacket from PLT. It is really thick and has a faux sheepskin lining so is lovely and warm for winter, and the khaki makes a nice change from black for me – it also comes in black and burgundy! Finally my dress, also new, from Missguided. This was a surprise present from the lovely blogger outreach girls at MG, and they got it so right! Surprise presents can be a risky business, but the girls didn’t disappoint and I think I’ll be getting loads of wear out of this. It is arguably quite summery, but I like to layer up pieces like this to take them through to autumn/winter.
