Yep, I am enjoying a ruffle. A definite ‘micro trend’ of the moment, ruffles this season don’t necessarily have to be massive, romantic and unwearable. They can be small and elegant or bold and structured if girly girl isn’t really your look, and you don’t have to be able to afford Alexander McQueen (although look at these) to work it. Do a ruffle on the end of a sleeve (great if you have a big chest and struggle with too much fabric around the bust) or small ruffled collar (like I did in this outfit) to make the trend more wearable; or wear a shirt with a single, large ruffle across the front if you really want to embrace the trend. I’ve compiled a list of my favourites, from subtle to statement, at a range of affordable to high end investment piece (hello to that Self-Portrait blouse) prices. Happy shopping!
