The nail art hype is still in full effect (why wouldn’t it be!), and Cosmopolitan has featured some of its favourite celeb nails. Check some of them out below, I love Alexandra Burke’s acid green, Serena’s dazzling crystals, Ke$ha’s studs and Lil Mama’s talons. Which is your favourite?
Today, my afternoon was spent with my sewing machine altering these camouflage trousers which I got for £2 from Cow in Manchester! Although they fit me, they were straight legged and quite baggy, so I took in each leg to make them more slim fitting. I’m really pleased with the result, what do you think? During the day, I will wear them with a loose fitting black or white vest, black leather biker jacket and my Nike SB Stefan Janoskis. As per usual, hypes, comments and new fans are really appreciated, and don’t forget to leave me your Lookbook links.
Whilst browsing Highsnobette, I came across these exclusive backstage images from the Sally LaPointe Spring 2012 collection, taken by Hannah Newbery at NYFW, and I am in love. The inspiration for the collection came from decaying architecture, specifically “The Renwick Ruins” in Staten Island, New York. LaPointe digitally created prints to look like the hospital’s crumbling walls and peeling paint, which were then incorporated into some pieces in earth tones, neon colours, and black. LaPointe’s collection featured both strong, angular silhouettes alongside much more soft, fluid shapes. Check out images via Highsnobette and NYmag‘s backstage video below.
My mustard suede brogues came from ASOS today, I’m so pleased with them! With the exception of cheap, black flats for college, these are the first pair of flat shoes (as opposed to trainers) that I’ve bought in over a year, and they’re definitely a great addition to my wardrobe. They’re much more of a true yellow-y mustard colour in the flesh, rather than the more lime green colour that they looked in the photo on the ASOS website, which is exactly what I wanted.
Following an equally crazy ‘Collection 1‘, Barcelona brand Skulls have released a lookbook for their ‘Collection 2‘. I love the quirkiness of each piece, and the interesting fabrics used make sure that one of these caps would certainly be the focal point of your outfit. Here’s what Skulls have to say about the collection:
“A collection based on my own personal craze, based on seasons ahead, with a colorful twist, with style and with the friends I have spent my skateboarding days. All hats one size fits all, 5 panel hats, Made in USA.”
My personal favourite is the galaxy print one, what do you think? The collection will be available from retailers soon.
Here’s a closer look at my new leopard print satchel I posted a few days back, I love it! As always, hypes, comments, new fans and new Lookbook-ers to check out are always appreciated!
You may have seen my post last month about A Bathing Ape’s collaboration with Sperry Top-Sider, which featured a preview of this gorgeous camouflage chukka boot, which we can finally have a closer look at. The collaborative effort with men’s shoe god Mark McNairy comes in two colourways, both equally nice, in my opinion. Unfortunately it has sold out on the Bape online store, but keep an eye out for it elsewhere if you’re interested! The brogue shoe from the same collection is still available.
The catwalk is boasting some really sleek hairstyles for A/W 2011, some less wearable than others! I’ve already unknowingly rocked a few of these, but I’ll definitely be trying some more! My favourites are the effortless Viktor & Rolf plait and Chanel bun, the slick Paul & Joe and Louis Vuitton ponytails, the Missoni style and the gorgeous glossy look by Aquascutum. Which are you going to try?
