Playsuit – Motel*

You cannot go wrong with sequins! I’m absolutely in love with this Stardust playsuit in ‘charcoal iridescent sequins’ from Motel. I wore it for a night out for my friend’s birthday last night and even though the weather outside was dreadful (check the state of my hair in the last photo taken when I got home!) I really enjoyed myself, and these sequins probably had something to do with it. It’s such a statement piece that it really doesn’t need any accessories, so I kept it super simple with black Lita style boots, a black belt and one silver bracelet. Motel have so many amazing sequined party pieces this season, will you be purchasing one?

Sunshine all the time!

When you think of an autumn/winter wardrobe, a new pair of sunglasses might not be the first thing which springs to mind. However even in rainy England we still get the odd day of sunshine in winter months, so why not use that as the perfect excuse for a fabulous new eyewear purchase! I think that sunglasses are an innovative way to incorporate AW12 trends subtly into an outfit:

PURPLE

Purple is one of the biggest colours at the moment, and even if it isn’t your favourite colour trend it is extremely wearable in small doses.

These Ray-Ban 4163s and SXUC Duchesses, both in a in a gorgeous purple gradient, are a perfect way to incorporate the purple trend into a wintery outfit, they’d look adorable with a big cream chunky knit jumper! Available from Sunglasses Shop, £104 and £20 respectively.

GLITTER

One of my favourite things about winter is the glitter and sparkle which never disappears from winter wear. This season’s underwater, mermaid-esque look, encompassed by the likes of Chanel and Alexander McQueen at fashion week, means that glitter is no longer restricted to evening wear, so why not pair these fabulous Miu Miu 02ns in Grey Glitter with a bold metallic leather skirt and some shell themed accessories. All That Glitters Is Gold: Introducing missikon.com!

Getting dressed up for a night out doesn’t mean you have to wear heels! For those of you who struggle to endure a whole night in 5″ platforms, spiked or studded flats are a great alternative. I’m wearing the Studded Flat Shoes* from Missikon – they look amazing and are practical for a night out as well as being easy to dress down for a day-time look. I would strongly advise buying a size up from your usual in these, because they are small fitting.
My top is the Gold Sequence Dress*, also from Missikon, and I have tucked it into my trusty black American Apparel Disco Short.

Double Cross.

London based boutique Naked Bones recently launched their Monochrome Collection which includes this awesome ‘Double Cross‘ design. The ‘Double Cross’ is available in two colourways – white on black or black on white – and there are two fabric choices for the crosses – glitter or faux leather, and at £14.99 (or if you’d like a vest it’s £12.99, or £16.99 for a sweatshirt) it’s a real bargain! Here I’ve paired it with a black and silver glittery midi skirt from Primark last year, and my amazing new JC Vicious style ‘Sasha Sculpted Wedge Spike Sandals‘ from Tribeca Shoes. I accessorised with a spiked head chain from Oasap and some awesome spiked bracelets and a fang double finger ring from The Prettiest Things.

I absolutely love the look of my Oasap spiked head chain, however the elastic broke when I took it off my head, so I wouldn’t recommend buying it! It is repairable, but not ideal. (PS: please excuse my awful roots).

There are links to both bracelets and my new ring from The Prettiest Things at the top of this post, I can’t fault them and they’re so reasonably priced at £3-£4 each.

These shoes are insane, as anyone can see! Size-wise they’re quite small-fitting, I would recommend going half a size down if possible. They aren’t too difficult to walk in if you’re used to heels, but the sole is very narrow so I personally am probably going to save these for evenings out which involve more sitting down, meals and parties for example, rather than nights out in clubs as I wouldn’t want to go over on my ankle!

Motel Rocks!

Playsuit – c/o Motel | Shoes – Romwe

Yesterday morning I received this gorgeous playsuit courtesy of Motel, just in time to wear it to my boyfriend’s sister and her husband’s post-wedding party! I chose the Valentine Open Back Playsuit in Floral Navy Pink Rose – I absolutely love the print and the unique structure of the playsuit which appears almost like a matching top and shorts and features a pretty cut out triangle in the lower back.

Here I’m wearing it with opaque black tights and pink spiked glitter flats from Romwe, but it could easily be made more casual with a denim jacket and platform trainers or dressed up more with big chunky heels and bright accessories.

Naked Bones: Metal Candy collection

I was surprised this week with an awesome package from the lovely Naked Bones, including a few pieces from their latest collection, entitled ‘Metal Candy‘. The collection features a selection of garments including sweaters, crop tops and leggings, in sugary sweet shades such as candyfloss pink, mint green and lemon yellow, accented with sparkling ‘crystal’ pockets in a variety of colours. With pieces ranging from £12.99 to £19.99, the collection is affordable for everyone and certainly not one to miss out on!

My look (above) features the Streaked Sweater (£16.99) in ‘candyfloss pink’ with a silver crystal pocket. Here I paired it with galaxy leggings from Miss Selfridge and spiked pink glitter slippers from Romwe.

LOVE Satin & Romwe Rivets!

This week I received this beautiful satin off the shoulder dress courtesy of LOVE, and these amazing glittery spiked shoes which I used my Romwe blogger freebies towards! I absolutely love both pieces, the fit and the print of the dress is gorgeous (I plan to wear it to my college prom / leaver’s party so expect more photos next month!) and the shoes speak for themselves. More gradient nail art

You can’t go wrong with gradient nails, in my opinion! I chose a barbie pink (Technic) as my base, allowed it to dry then blended in a silver polish (Orly Foil FX in ‘Shine’) from the top to create the gradient effect. I also added Barry M’s Limited Edition Effects Silver Glitter on top of everything. What do you think? Will you be trying out this look?
