Once again, I’m head to toe in Missguided! I based my outfit around this fab grey midi skirt – I really like the fact that it’s a pretty full midi silhouette in a traditionally more masculine or ‘boring’ texture and colour. I think it could be dressed up with sequins, or even worn to the office with a smarter blouse. Here, I wore it with a super cool deep v-neck shirt with mesh detail (with a navy bralet underneath to match my coat), and a gorgeous navy, lightweight coat. I’m also really into these shoes – black, patent, pointed and mock croc, they’re ideal really! They’re quite chunky and very masculine, I like the contrast with the more feminine silhouette of the rest of my outfit.

Sometimes I forget how much I enjoy the simple but ever so effective combination of a pretty dress and a tougher leather biker jacket. I like the vintage feel of this particular dress from Sugarhill Boutique, and the fact that it is green is a bonus as I really don’t think green is a colour I wear enough! The dress I’ve linked above is actually mint green rather than the version I have here, sadly mine isn’t available any more but the mint is equally as cute.

I was definitely feeling a colour clash here – whilst I enjoy the subtleties of pairing black and navy, you can’t beat a more striking mismatch every now and again. I did that here in the form of this absolutely gorgeous navy roll neck jumper from Boden – definitely a good investment if you’re after a quality knit, and I really love the length of it – and bold mustard yellow duster coat from NaaNaa. To break up the colour clash slightly, I also wore a sleeveless tailored jacket with a simple black and white gingham print. I’m not sure this was really necessary, but I think it makes for a nice detail.
On my bottom half I kept everything simple with faux leather on faux leather, and accessorised with Marc B bag (I can’t stress enough how great this bag is for uni!) and very cool Gown & Oars watch. Let me know what you think!

Shoes – Boden* | Belt – New Look (similar)*
This week I committed the cardinal blogging sin of taking photos of my outfit in the dark, GASP! With sunset before 5pm now I don’t often have much choice, and so I hope you can still appreciate my outfit in the light of a shop window here. Hopefully it looks more like an artistic decision than an unhappy accident…
I’m wearing a pretty floral midi skirt from Yumi (which I think would be perfect for the office, as well as styled more casually), with a bargain £5 ribbed roll neck top from Diva Dames, and my go-to coat at the moment – this gorgeous Kim Kardashian esque camel coat from Missguided. I almost didn’t realise that it hasn’t featured on my blog yet because I have worn it so much since it arrived a few weeks ago – it goes with absolutely any outfit! I’ve been wearing it mostly open, but here I chose to belt the coat with an elasticated, jewelled belt from New Look (which isn’t online any more, but there are plenty of similar options) to emulate the silhouette of the high waisted flared skirt. Finally, let’s talk about these incredible jewelled shoes from Boden! They remind me of an updated version of something more traditional you might find on an Indian market stall, and I’m pleased to report that none of the gems have fallen off yet. The perfect way to jazz up an otherwise plain outfit, or make an already jazzy outfit even jazzier. What do you think?

Do I really need to say much about this outfit, other than LOOK AT MY COAT!!? This is perhaps the boldest outerwear choice I’ve ever made, but I’m so into it. I threw it over a head-to-toe black outfit to make it pop as much as possible.
I’m also wearing another really cool long shirt / dress by Andwhatelseisthere. like the loose fit and batwing sleeves, drawn together with a slimmer cuff and hem, but everything by the brand is made to order and made to measure (if you like) so you could order this shirt longer or shorter depending on how you want it to fit. You can also get 10% off with my code HANNAH10! I I also matched my lipstick to my coat, by mixing Mac Media with Rimmel x Kate Moss shade 1. Thoughts?

Boots – Zara | Bag – Primark | Watch – Daniel Wellington via Urban Trait*
I was a little dubious about this burgundy leather jacket when it first arrived because it is much less fitted than I am used to, however after trying it with a few different outfits I have completely fallen for it when styled with other masculine-ish pieces. Can I also mention how many excellent coats and jackets Wallis have in at the moment?! I really need to get my mitts on this Kim Kardashian-esque nude belted coat.
I wore the super soft burgundy leather here over a very simple monochrome outfit, made up of black skinny jeans and Motel’s super cool white shirt dress (which I think I prefer over jeans or trousers for winter, but could definitely see it with bear legs and some sandals or trainers in the summer). Remember you can get 20% off all Motel with my code ‘hannahlouisef’! It’s such a great wardrobe staple, I’m going to get loads of wear out of it. Accessories-wise I jazzed things up a bit with this Primark statement faux fur (have you seen my top 10 favourite statement scarves post, by the way?), and Primark satchel which I think has similar vibes to the beautiful Proenza Schouler PS1 satchel. I’m also wearing a super sleek Daniel Wellington watch from Urban Trait, a Swedish online retailer (which free worldwide shipping!) who stock lots of other modern watch brands, including some really cool ones I’d never come across before.
Now I apologise for the lengthiness of this post, but it is with good reason: I’m giving you the chance to win a pair of Marc By Marc Jacobs sunglasses of your choice, from Sunglasses Shop! To enter:

Jacket – Blue Vanilla* | Top – Topshop | Jeans – Ark* | Boots – Public Desire* | Bag – Missguided (similar)*
What better to do on a Sunday than take advantage of the fact that the beautiful Manchester Central Library is closed, and so is nice and quite for some photos! I absolutely love this newly refurbished area of Manchester around St Peter’s Square, and would definitely recommend a visit if you’re ever in the city.
My outfit here is all about this shaggy jacket / cardigan from new online retailer Blue Vanilla. It’s also available in black, but I like the grey as the lighter colour makes the interesting texture really visible. Plus, I love grey! It’s a real statement piece, so even though my outfit here is literally jeans and a t-shirt, I think the jacket makes it stand out. The jacket is £30, which when compared to your standard faux fur jacket or indeed the shaggy cardigan I featured in this post, is relatively cheap. Blue Vanilla are also offering free UK shipping at the moment too!
I matched the jacket with a Topshop ribbed, long sleeved crop top in a different shade of grey, and my new black high waist skinny jeans by Ark’s own brand. I have loved my Cheap Monday Second Skin high waist jeans but have worn them to death, and I am really pleasantly surprised by this pair which I got to replace them. They’re really soft and stretchy, whilst still being thick enough to feel like jeans rather than leggings, and they fit like a dream. They don’t have front pockets which is a little bit annoying, but they do have back pockets so all is not lost. For £26.99, they really are an excellent pair of budget jeans! I’m also wearing pointed Public Desire boots, and a couple of gorgeous silver pendant necklaces which I’ve linked under the photo below.
Thoughts on this simple outfit?

Sorry for inundating you with outfit posts this week – I have so many to catch you up on, and this is a personal style blog after all so I hope you’re enjoying them! I wore this outfit to uni in the morning and then to eat burgers with some friends in the evening. We went to Handmade Burger Co (my first time eating there, I got the ‘Greek’ lamb burger and it was delish); I probably should have taken some photos but who has time for that when a burger is waiting to be eaten? I wore an outfit by Red or Dead, which I recently got from Bank – I love the interesting knit of the cropped jumper (which does have a matching skirt and is now on sale for £15) and simplicity of the tailored culottes (even more of a bargain on sale for £10). Over the top I threw on this amazing khaki maxi coat from PLT, which makes me feel a bit like I’m wearing a fancy dressing gown but I’m kind of into that. I finished off the outfit with some sportier footwear – I’ve had my eye on a pair of black New Balance 574s for a while (I’ve had and loved the navy 576s for a few years now), and this pair make a great addition to my extensive trainer collection.
Accessories-wise I’m wearing my super oversized H&M scarf again, this time actually as a scarf rather than a cape/shawl as I did here. I put this on more for warmth than anything, but I actually really like the subtle print clash and how it looks with this outfit. Finally, you can also see my new favourite uni bag, which is the ‘Brook‘ from Marc B’s new collection. It’s just the right size for a 13″ laptop with plenty of space for other bits too, and I personally really like the pewter finish on the hardware as opposed to Marc B’s usual gold. Thoughts?
By the way, if you’re struggling with Autumn fashion I’m running a competition on Twitter with F&F – just tweet me (@hannahlouisef) your dilemma using the hashtag #AutumnSOS to be in with a chance of winning a £100 voucher and some tips from me.

Skirt – Primark* | Boots – Clarks x Orla Kiely* | Necklace – Black Tied*
It’s ok to wear different shades of pink with bunt orange, right? Good. When I get a bit more adventurous with colour combos, I like to make the rest of my outfit monochrome to tone it down a bit – I chose a nice crisp (and also super soft, I love wearing it!) white shirt by Ivy Revel, with black opaque tights, and a little sixties twist with my Clarks Orla Kiely Dixie boots. You might recognise this skirt from another crazy colour combo outfit here, I think it’s such a great autumnal shade and the high waist a-line silhouette is really flattering too. My coat is from Henry Holland’s cute and affordable H! range at Debenhams, and the faux fur is detachable so I can wear it with other outfits – hurrah! My silver cow skull necklace is also something I’ve been wearing a lot recently, you can get 15% off it and anything else at Black Tied with my discount code HANNAH15.
Finally, I can’t not mention my fancy new Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses from Shade Station. They’re a great size and shape, I love a nice large frame and they’re my new favourite haven’t-had-enough-sleep pair to throw on with any outfit.
