What do you wear to fashion week when all your clothes are still in boxes post move and you’ve already worn your new clothes? This, apparently. I’ve had this ASOS jumper for a little while now but it doesn’t come out much because it is quite a ‘statement piece’ (and I leave a trail of beads and sparkles and whatnot everywhere I go whilst wearing it). Luckily for me, it was at the top of one of my many boxes of clothes, and it seemed ideal to base a last minute fashion week outfit around. I put it over a little pleated skirt and (for a bloody change) wore a faux leather biker on top. To make everything a bit more ‘fashion week’, I wore a pair of extremely sparkly shoes in an attempt to sort of match my embellished jumper. How stunning are Oscar‘s photos, also?

Day 3 of fashion week – I skipped out on day 2 on account of the fact that it was my birthday and I had fried breakfasts to eat and wine to drink. This was the day of the Topshop Unique show, which I’ve blogged about here and here, and I wanted to look relatively casual (and feel comfortable) but still make enough of a ‘statement’ with my outfit to look ~fashion week~. Double denim was the solution to this: I wore a pair of ASOS wide leg, raw hemmed jeans with a longline denim jacket, which by coincidence and luck was a perfect colour match. I broke up the indigo denim with a black cord tunic (an interesting alternative to a plain black t-shirt, I think, and I also like the silhouette that the waist tie gives) and black faux suede thigh high boots to avoid that awkward amount of bare leg between an ankle boot and jeans that are cut off above the ankle.

I’m wearing a suit and a giant pink faux fur coat: it must be fashion week. I haven’t been too heavily involved with LFW this season, as I moved to London on Wednesday and so am still living out of boxes and trying to assemble my IKEA furniture without injuring myself or putting a window through. I spent the night before Day 1 building bookcases, which is hardly glamorous. 

This whole outfit, minus the shoes is from Reiss – the shoes are quite old and I have forgotten where I got them, but I have linked similar above. I really love these colours; the suit (which also has a skirt and dress option, although for not-workwear purposes I prefer the trousers) is a very unusual ‘berry’ shade that isn’t quite burgundy but isn’t quite purple either, and I think that the pale dusky pink of the coat and, to a lesser degree, the top sets it off nicely. The coat is completely fabulous, it’s as soft as it looks and will definitely be my go-to for when the weather is cold but not too wet (if that ever happens).
