Today I wore double Primark, oops! I finished the outfit off with my usual Topshop leather biker jacket, some new lace trim socks (also Topshop) and my black creepers. I can’t get enough of mixing leopard print with bright block colours, this time I tried it out with a bright pink, silky textured t-shirt and I love the effect.
Today I attended an open day at the University of Manchester to learn about my future course (if all goes to plan when it comes to my exams.) I wore my ASOS neon pencil skirt with a black sheer shirt (Urban Outfitters), leather biker jacket (Topshop), my Topshop studded slipper flats and a Primark skull print scarf.
And on an unrelated note I got a new backpack for college, the Jansport Right Pack:
Australian brand Ksubi have absolutely nailed statement eyewear with their ‘subculture’ inspired 2012 collection entitled ‘WAR’. The collection of twelve pieces, which aesthetically is an extension of their AW12 ready-to-wear collection of the same name, is influenced by steam punk, bikers and hip hop, and the eyewear compliments the AW12 RTW collection perfectly, for example leopard print is a common accent in both. Each of the new styles, both optical and sun, is unisex and feature a variety of luxury detailing such as high shine finishes and metals laminated with leather. Head over to Oyster to check out an exclusive, insightful interview with Ksubi co-founder George Gorrow and take a look at images from the lookbook below.
Last night I went for a Nando’s with some friends to celebrate a friend’s 22nd birthday, we were supposed to go out afterwards too (hence the more dressy outfit) but ended up too tired/skint! I wore:
White cropped t-shirt: Topshop
Black Disco Short: American Apparel
Glitter tights: Topshop
Underground Creepers: ASOS
We had a much warmer day today in North West England, but it’s still not summer so layering is key! I wore a white button-up shirt and faux leather pleated skirt (Primark) underneath an oversized black chunky knit jumper (Primark) and my Urban Renewal camo jacket (Urban Outfitters), finished off with black tights, an animal print scarf and black creepers.
I’ve also dyed my hair a brighter copper/ginger colour and finally got rid of the remnants of my dip-dye (although you can still see some evidence of it if you look closely!). What do you think?
I couldn’t resist this rottweiler print t-shirt by Worn By in Urban Outfitters after lusting over the various rottweiler inspired Givenchy pieces for so long. Despite its £28 price tag (or rather £25.20 with student discount), for me it was worth every penny!
The shiny ‘scarf print’ bomber jacket is also a recent addition to my ever expanding wardrobe, which I got here from an Ebay store – it also comes in green and gold colourways and at £19.99 it’s the perfect way to own this trend afforably.
I just got the photos back from a shoot I did for a friend who’s just bagged an amazing job at a studio – it was really fun! Check out these taken in one of the outfits I wore: my Stussy x MadeMe striped leggings, black bodysuit and Topshop leather biker jacket and replica JC Lita boots, and definitely take a look at her photography blog here.
I ordered these leggings from Topshop last week, after waiting forever for them to come online after seeing them in the lookbook! I absolutely had to have them. Here I’ve paired them with a blue velvet top because I love the colour clash of royal blue and gold/yellow, but they’ll also look great with a black velvet or sheer button-up shirt or a whole array of printed t-shirts.
My navy Disco Pants came in the post today! Couldn’t resist grabbing a pair while American Apparel had a 30% off flash sale on all trousers, and now I’m one step closer to owning every pair. The super girly, super tacky purple ones are next on my list.
Here I’ve paired them with one of my pocket t-shirts, ‘Luxe Leopard’, which I make and sell @ The Pocket Co. I’ll be restocking the sold out t-shirts soon, but for updates and information about restocks and new items you can follow The Pocket Co. Tumblr and like the Facebook page!
Today I wore my multi-glitter Topshop skater dress, but with a checked shirt over the top tied at the waist, black tights and black creepers, but I wanted to show off how pretty it is without lots of extras! It looks great with heels for the evening or layered up with flats for daytime. I’m also wearing a new Topshop lipstick which I received free with an order and I’m really impressed with it! The shade is ‘All About Me’ and it’s a matte finish bright pink colour, I really like it.
