Continuing in the same vein as my last post, here is another outfit which I think would be perfect for a wedding! This gorgeous dress by Yumi isn’t as ‘pastel pretty’ as the one in my previous post, but it’s still super feminine and would flatter anyone. The added texture of the lace and the use of only two colours makes the floral print a little bit different, and it is definitely a stand-out piece. It is also available in black and white, but I went for the blue as I think I have overdone monochrome slightly over the past season. Here I paired it with a simple white belt and super cute toe-capped shoes from ASOS.

The summery weather is back in Manchester, hopefully for more than 3 days this time! Yesterday I took a revision break to go out for tea for my mum’s birthday and wore my fab new lace textured trousers from Lashes of London. As you can see in the photo of my nails (Models Own in ‘Bubblegum’), the trousers are a pale but bright yellowy green shade with a layer of white lace allover, making the fluro colour more subtle and wearable. I kept the rest of my outfit pale and summery with a white t-shirt with a jewelled neckline (a bargain £12 from Primark – I own this in other colours too!) and white pointed BooHoo flats. I threw on my old Primark jersey ‘boyfriend’ blazer on top, however it is years old and I’m afraid it has had it’s time and has lost its shape completely!
If you’re thinking of investing in the Lashes Lima Fluro Jacqaurd Trousers, I’d recommend buying your usual size. As you can see on me, they’re quite long (I’m 5’6″) and so shorter ladies might need to turn this up unless you’re wearing them with heels, but they won’t come up too short on taller girls.

I was recently very kindly gifted a beautiful matching bra & briefs set from D+ lingerie and swimwear brand Panache. I chose the navy and vanilla Arquette balconnet bra and briefs from the Masquerade collection, pictured below. Panache describes the bra as “a sumptuous and stylish balconnet bra designed for luxurious uplift and shape. Perfect for a special occasion with delicate fan embroidery trim”, which I would wholly agree with! It is slightly padded allover which provides comfort and a flattering shape without boosting your bust as a heavily padded bra would. Unfortunately for smaller busted ladies, Panache caters for D+ only, however it does carry sizes such as 28D which are often very hard to come by on the high street! You cannot buy lingerie directly from the Panache website, however you can browse all their collections and products, and find both online and in store stockists all over the world in just a few clicks.
I am almost embarrassed to admit that the majority of the time I am not an obsessive matching underwear girl! Sometimes my underwear matches and sometimes it doesn’t, and from a practical perspective it is the clothes I plan to wear on top which usually dictate what underwear I put on. That being said, my a new Panache lingerie set is making me want to be a part of the ‘matching bra and brief brigade’ more often.

Who doesn’t love a great black dress? Jones and Jones‘ winter collection is full of stunning black numbers which are absolutely perfect for Christmas parties and more! Here I’m wearing the ‘Belle‘ floral lace dress. I kept accessories to the absolute minimum – red lipstick (Kate Moss x Rimmel shade 01) and a red heart Vivienne Westwood pendant – because the dress is so stunning just by itself! I’m wearing black JC Lita style heels, but the dress would also look fab with a pair of patent or suede oxblood platforms and a matching lip, or perhaps something glittery.
- If you’re between sizes, buy a size up! I’m wearing a size 8 here and this dress is small fitting (definitely more of a 6-8 rather than an 8-10) and does not have much stretch in it, so if you are usually between dress sizes then go for the larger one in this dress. As always I’d recommend trying to get to a Jones and Jones stockist (such as larger Topshop stores) to try one on if possible.
- No bras allowed! Due to the daring deep V neckline with a mesh insert, this dress does not look good with any sort of bra (that I’m aware of at least!), so stick to tape. If you’re not comfortable doing that, then definitely bear it in mind before purchasing the Belle, perhaps the equally stunning Laura dress would be better for you.

Recently I (my feet and legs at least!) modelled a selection of creepers and other shoes for UK store Foot Asylum. Thanks to (or no thanks to, depending on your opinion) the likes of Rihanna and Rita Ora, creepers have had a huge boost in popularity in recent months and so naturally brands which were already well established in more alternative scenes such as Underground and TUK have become more and more widely available. Foot Asylum is one of the latest stores to start stocking these brands; take a look at some of the images below – I think they turned out really well! I’m already a big fan of Underground shoes and own 3 of their Wulfrun Creepers, so the shoot was a great opportunity to properly check out alternative brands such as TUK. The TUK Creeper Sneaker was something I’d never seen before, and although in my opinion is a little strange looking it could be a great compromise between the traditional creeper and something less bold. Shop Underground, TUK and Dr Martens at Foot Asylum now, and follow Foot Asylum on Facebook, Tumblr and Twitter.
