Who else is loving this hot weather?! I keep complaining about the heat but I am really glad we’re having an actual summer, and I get to wear all these summery outfits. A black maxi dress might not seem summery, but this one from Manchester brand AKA Clothing is chiffon and backless so I’ve been waiting for a nice warm day to wear it. I decided to go all out and pair the maxi dress with a maxi kimono too: this amazing ‘Egyptian’ printed one from LilyLulu, another Manchester boutique!

With the maxi ensemble, I’m wearing an oversized fringed bag from Primark (which Em thought was from All Saints when I saw her last week!), really cool black leopard print sliders from Plantas, and some gorgeous jewellery. Outfit Of The Day | Maxi Shirt Dress

Hi all! So after big talk in Tuesday’s post about daily blogging, I had to do a system refresh on my poor old laptop yesterday instead – sorry! I’ve already worn this dress/shirt multiple times since I got it, and I’ve worn it in a different way each time. You know how I love a versatile piece! Here I’m wearing it roughly how it is styled on the Dorothy Perkins website, but instead of having it totally done up I’ve unbuttoned it below the waist and replaced the chiffon belt with a chunky white leather belt; I also love how it looks styled with black rather than white, or worn completely open over an outfit like jeans and a cami as a maxi shirt! Christmas Sale Picks – Coast

Coast is a shop which always comes to mind when I have a special occasion to attend. Their most fabulous dresses are often quite pricey, so the sale is the perfect time to plan in advance for an upcoming event! I’ve picked my four favourite dresses from the sale, and admittedly have featured another which is still full price but is so amazing I couldn’t not include it – the gorgeous structured Syrina LBD. The Syrina is nevertheless not extortionately priced at £95, it could be ideal for any posh night out or fancy party and could easily be worn multiple times with different accessories. The other dresses I featured were heavy on embellishement or lace; the Deco Maxi really has the wow factor and the Deline Sequin Dress is gorgeous (and slightly more conservative) version of the Jovani dress I wore on my birthday. I particularly love the allover lace Staten Dress too, which is a relatively affordable £65 on sale. Take a look at all the dresses in my edit below:

Butterflies

Dress – SheInside* | Jacket – Topshop | Sandals – Topshop

I love the length of this SheInside dress, it’s not quite floorlenght and skims my ankles, meaning that I don’t have to worry about it dragging on the floor and I get to show off whatever shoes I’m wearing too! The print on this one is adorable too, allover butterflies with individual prints inside them. I think this is another great transitional piece, as it definitely works well with my leather jacket and would look fab with boots!

Galaxy print dress @ AX Paris

I received this beautiful Galaxy Plat Strap Maxi Dress in the post today, courtesy of AX Paris. It’s perfect with a lightweight denim jacket and sandals for warm summery weather like we’ve been having in England this week, or could be dressed up with a pair of heels for a meal or evening out. The fit of the dress is ideal and super flattering for most body shapes. Additionally, the ever popular galaxy print is really striking and any of the three dresses in the Galaxy Collection is sure to turn a few heads.
