Are you bored of my tartan clothes yet? The print of this amazing dress from Ark is a little different to my other checked and tartan prints, but it might just be my favourite! It’s very similar to the Céline print on those amazing slip-ons which is a definite bonus, plus I love the simplicity of a tunic dress. It’s also very reasonably priced at £26.99, and it is worth noting that I’m wearing size M/L. Here I paired it with a faux leather sleeved coat I got on eBay last year (similar here), my fab Missguided hat and trusty New Look cut out boots.
Floral twopiece – SheInside* | Boots – New Look | Bag – eBay
How cute is this twopiece?! Summer is not quite over yet, and this is just perfect for the remaining days (or weeks if we’re lucky). Even better, it is only £19.20 for both pieces from SheInside, a fraction of the price of the original version from Zara.
Worn together I think that the pieces are super summery, however I definitely think that the top will work into autumn/winter worn with darker colours. I love the shape of the top too!
This has to be one of my absolute favourite recent outfits, because I’m in love with every one of the pieces! I’m obsessed with the colours and ‘Mandala’ print of this Motel kimono, and have a fairly overwhelming urge to go and buy the dress, skirt and top in the same print… help! It’s also a really great fit, super relaxed with 3/4 length sleeves, plus it has (very handy) pockets.
Here I wore the kimono over this fab dress from SheInside, a copy of Nasty Gal’s infamous ‘Dare You’ dress, but priced at £23.95 rather than (a fairly extortionate) £116! It is extremely short and the caged top doesn’t have much stretch in it so if you’re tall and slim or have comparatively broad shoulders I would definitely recommend sizing up (I’m around 5’6″ and am wearing the size small, but I think a medium would have been a better fit).

Finally, I’m wearing my new boots (pictured above) – full credit to my friend Hannah for discovering these on the New Look website. They’re definitely the best copy of the Jeffrey Campbell Coltranes I’ve seen, which are in turn a chunkier and slightly less amazing (but still pretty great) version of the dreamy Balenciaga originals, and are a total bargain at £30 (less with student discount). They’re currently sold out, but I would highly recommend coming back to check the website and checking your local New Look, as I would imagine they’ll be restocked. If you are ordering online they fit quite large, so if you’re between sizes I’d recommend sizing down.
This will be my last outfit post for a couple of weeks as I’m heading to CALIFORNIA in the early hours, eeeek! If anyone has any recommendations of things to see, do or eat, or shops to visit anywhere in SoCal then please leave a comment below. If I can blog whilst I’m away then I will do so, but I can make no promises. I will be posting (a lot) on Instagram whilst I’m there, so if you don’t already follow me my username is hannahlouisef. Have a great summer 🙂
