I also got this very snazzy Georg Jensen device in a very sweet goodie bag, which is for hanging your handbag from your desk!
Selecting Christmas jewellery is
always a tough one! Should you either buy lots of jewellery to accessorise with all
of your party outfits, or whilst you have the choice of getting a gift from a
family member or other half do you go for one key designer piece?
jewellery designers like Chopard create Christmas inspired jewellery lines. The
legendary jeweller collaborated with Harrods to come up with an iconic Haute Joaillerie line including Disney
Princess themed pieces. The pieces are teamed with Versace, Elie Saab and Oscar
de la Renta clothing in Harrods’ Christmas 2012 window displays.
examples of jewellery you can select for Christmas 2012:
for your significant other. Gorgeous jewellery pieces can tell
the story of love. This is why such stones as diamond, sapphire, emerald, and
jade are often used in engagement rings. For example, the ancient Greeks associated
emerald with Aphrodite, the goddess of love, while jade symbolises longevity in
China, which may help you show how much you’re looking forward to your future
together. A sweet sterling silver diamond snow crystal, star or angel charm is
a perfect Christmas gift for your loved one – check out this one (right) from Thomas Sabo on
Steffans website:
for your Mum. In Celtic and Greek mythology,
moonstone is a stone associated with a triple goddess that represents the
maiden, the mother, and the crone. The stone was also believed to have
protective powers for women’s health. Another great option is pearl jewellery
also associated with mothers. For your mum, select jewellery featuring
moonstone or pearl such as a sterling silver and freshwater pearl bow charm or
black rhodium and blue freshwater pearl earrings. Mums normally prefer
something classic that won’t go out of fashion.
for your daughter or granddaughter. For a daughter or
granddaughter, select jewellery in eye-catching Christmas themed designs. Younger
girls like things that are bright and disposable such as cheaper jewellery from
Claire Accessories or Accessorize. However, the choice of suitable options is
enormous, from sterling silver winter wonderland snowflake studs to sleigh, boot
and ice skate charms to winter mistletoe pendants. Christmas beads make fun
meaningful gifts as they are used to create one-of-a-kind bracelets. Christmas
themed beads are available in myriad unusual designs including snowman, crown,
present box, angel, Christmas tree, snowflake, ice bear designs and so on.
meaningful Christmas gifts to pamper your loved ones, opt for jewellery pieces
designed for this occasion by top jewellers including Trollbeads, Pandora,
Thomas Sabo, Hot Diamonds and others. These pieces may help you express any
sentiment.
These shoes are insane, as anyone can see! Size-wise they’re quite small-fitting, I would recommend going half a size down if possible. They aren’t too difficult to walk in if you’re used to heels, but the sole is very narrow so I personally am probably going to save these for evenings out which involve more sitting down, meals and parties for example, rather than nights out in clubs as I wouldn’t want to go over on my ankle!
