New favourite jacket alert! I had my beady eyes on the Topshop version of this luxurious looking shearling jacket but at £75 I wasn’t persuaded, so I was excited to spot this on the SheInside website. This is a faux suede texture rather than wool like the Topshop jacket, which I actually prefer, and although the quality is slightly inferior it is absolutely worth the £28.50 it costs. My skirt is also a new addition to my wardrobe from SheInside, the dark plaid and thick wool-like texture make it an ideal winter skirt and I love the wrap style. I opted for a simple black velvet t-shirt (mine is vintage but it’s one of my favourite winter wardrobe go-to pieces, you can get a similar version here), tights and boots to finish off the outfit. Finally I kept jewellery to a minimum with my usual Marc By Marc Jacobs watch and lovely new crystal pendant by Delilah Dust from The Little Deer.
The wrap skort has received a little update in my wardrobe recently, and surprise surprise it’s tartan! I wore my black and white skorts to death over the summer so they haven’t made it out of my wardrobe in a while, but I couldn’t resist this checked version from Hidden Fashion (another super bargain at £10.49).
I feel I’m getting a little predictable with my fluffy jumpers, but I have been wearing these short sleeved Primark numbers in the place of t-shirts all winter now and definitely won’t be stopping! I threw on my go-to coat at the moment, this amazing grey ASOS slouch coat, and my current favourite Topshop Argo boots. Finally I’m wearing some adorable sun and moon earrings from Pretty In Black* (pictured below), I’ve been wearing these a lot recently and they’re only £4! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
I don’t mean to ~”toot my own horn”, but I really love this outfit! I was very excited to receive a Missguided package containing this beautiful pale blue fluffy cropped jumper and fab PVC midi skater skirt, which I chose both because I really like them individually, and because I’m currently obsessed with this particular combination of textures. Both pieces are £19.99 which I think is great value, especially compared to the very similar Topshop versions (you would be shelling out £55 for the skirt alone!). I also wore my latest purchase – this amazing ‘Coatigan’ from ASOS. I have had my eye on it for weeks and finally decided to hit purchase, typically two days before ASOS did their 48 hours of 20% student discount! As annoying as that was, I’m still very happy with it – it is super cosy, I love the colour and the oversized collar and fit, and it’s great for layering.
