The summery weather is back in Manchester, hopefully for more than 3 days this time! Yesterday I took a revision break to go out for tea for my mum’s birthday and wore my fab new lace textured trousers from Lashes of London. As you can see in the photo of my nails (Models Own in ‘Bubblegum’), the trousers are a pale but bright yellowy green shade with a layer of white lace allover, making the fluro colour more subtle and wearable. I kept the rest of my outfit pale and summery with a white t-shirt with a jewelled neckline (a bargain £12 from Primark – I own this in other colours too!) and white pointed BooHoo flats. I threw on my old Primark jersey ‘boyfriend’ blazer on top, however it is years old and I’m afraid it has had it’s time and has lost its shape completely!
If you’re thinking of investing in the Lashes Lima Fluro Jacqaurd Trousers, I’d recommend buying your usual size. As you can see on me, they’re quite long (I’m 5’6″) and so shorter ladies might need to turn this up unless you’re wearing them with heels, but they won’t come up too short on taller girls.

Last night was the Law Society Christmas do at my University, i.e. the perfect excuse to wear my new beautiful embellished dress by Lashes of London! The Ramona dress has been featured in the press after being worn on the X Factor by contestant Ella Henderson, and I 100% think it deserves the attention as it is a stunning piece – I got so many compliments! The dress comes with shoulder pads inbuilt, however I chose to remove them (extremely easy to do without damaging the dress, and it will be no problem to put them back if I want to) as I have fairly square shoulders and so accentuating them is not something which I think suits me. However, if you don’t have this problem then the square shoulders combined with the embellishment make it a real statement dress whilst the more understated lower half of the dress keeps it classy and elegant at the same time.
Last night I wore the Ramona dress with a simple pair of blue court shoes which matched the colour of some of the sequins in the shoulders of my dress (£8 from Primark), and of course I used my beautiful Vivvy W handbag!
The dress is quite pricey at £115, but if you have a special occasion lined up then it’s worth splashing out on and you can get 10% off your first order with Lashes by following the link at the top of their homepage. I would say that the sizing of the dress is true to size or if anything a little large – I am wearing a size 6 here and it fits, however it is not tight to my skin so if you prefer your dresses tight then I would recommend buying a size down.
In the iconic words of Karl Lagerfeld, ‘One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a Little Black Dress’, and of course he could never be wrong! Although Karl probably didn’t have anything less than Chanel in mind, there is never a shortage of fabulous LBDs for the Christmas party season both on the high street and online. One of my favourite brands at the moment is the up and coming, ‘as seen on’ TV celebs, bloggers and X-Factor contestants, Lashes of London. Lashes is giving one lucky person a chance to win one of their many beautiful LBDs, the stylish and unique ‘racer front’ Harlow dress, worth £65! To enter simply go here and follow the instructions on screen. Good luck!
If you’re not feeling lucky and want to treat yourself instead, check out a couple of my other favourite LBDs from the Lashes collection below! And keep your eyes peeled for a post by yours truly featuring the stunning, best selling Ramona dress (bottom).
