Glamorous have challenged us bloggers to create a wishlist of Glamorous products worth £200. As the queen of spending too much money and wanting new clothes all the time, this is perfect for me! I’ve created 2 outfits with the £200 budget, one daytime look and one for a party! I think that the leather jacket is a key piece and is interchangeable between the outfits, and the embellished jumper is gorgeous. What would you buy with £200 at Glamorous?
What do you think? Would you have guessed that almost my entire outfit is Primark?
Here’s a casual outfit I wore for a cold and windy day last week. Full price this outfit should have been super expensive, however almost everything I bought on sale or second hand – (A)life is money after all! I only paid £10 for my Alife t-shirt and £25 for my Timberlands on eBay, £7 for my skirt on sale at AA, my collar necklace was on sale for £4 in Topshop and I bought my beanie with store credit I won for Urban Industry! My Zara jacket is the only thing I paid full price for, and that was a fairly reasonable £40 a year or more ago.
I first saw the Jeffrey Campbell Starburst ankle boot in Urban Outfitters a number of years ago and fell in love with the design but not with the price tag (which then was ‘only’ around £90, a steal compared to the £120 you’d be paying today!). I then discovered the equally beautiful Chloe ankle boots pictured above and wanted the (comparatively far more reasonably priced) Starbursts even more! The ankle boot is probably bigger this winter than it has been for a long while, and so more and more similar versions of the studded ankle boot have been cropping up all over, for example the popular Nighthawk from Office and Amazon Biker Boots from ASOS, and after some searching I finally found a pair I was more than happy with the price of!
My boots, pictured below, cost £34.28 altogether including shipping from China and although the quality might be compromised (for example they are obviously not real leather – minus points for quality but great for vegetarians/vegans!), I’m over the moon with them! You can purchase them in black, red or brown here, mine took 3 weeks to arrive and be warned that the pictures used on eBay are not all of these boots (some are clearly the Chloe version which have a more pointy toe and come higher up the calf), however the picture of the black pair seems to be accurate and I’ve taken some for you to check out below. Happy shopping!
Over the past few days I’ve had a huge shop, scouring what’s left of the January sales in some shops and new arrivals for spring in others for bargains and to spend my Topshop vouchers left over from Christmas. Here’s what I bought:
