Coat – Pretty Little Thing* | Top – Topshop x Ashish | Trousers – Missguided* | Trainers – Nike @ ASOS*
Happy Air Max Day! Tomorrow, March 26th 2014, marks 27 years of Nike Air Max and ASOS have kindly sent me this pair of Air Max Theas to celebrate. Although they don’t feature on my blog very often, I have built up quite a collection of trainers over the years, including a grand total of eight pairs of Air Max (oops!). I love wearing trainers, for a start they are extremely comfortable unlike so many of my other shoes, but more importantly they can instantly give an outfit like this a little bit more of an edge.
My new Theas are grey and pink (perfect SS14 colour combination!) and feature a dotted pattern; because they’re quite busy I went for a relatively plain outfit so that they remained the focal point. My t-shirt is Ashish for Topshop (2012, I think!) which I managed to bag on eBay a while ago for a tenner, my faux leather trousers are a Missguided favourite, and I’m wearing my new Pretty Little Thing coat again.
Will you be rocking a pair of Air Max in celebration of Air Max Day?
I recently received a fab package from Pretty Little Thing containing these two wardrobe staples – ripped ‘mom’ jeans in the perfect light denim, and longline wool blend blazer coat – the ‘Avril’ is now only in stock in cream and pink, or PLT’s Kirsty blazer is similar too. I’ll definitely be getting loads of wear out of both of these! Today I paired them with my current favourite top, this striped crop from Topshop. I searched my local store a number of times for this before finally finding one in my size in the ‘last chance to buy’ section – it can be worn in so many different ways! I love the high neck and 3/4 sleeves, and you can’t go wrong with monochrome stripes. I’m also wearing my Topshop slip-ons, I have seen a lot of complaints that these are very uncomfortable but I’d have to disagree. Today was my second wear and they didn’t rub at all, however I did wear invisible socks! They are very narrow so perhaps one for anyone with wide feet to avoid,
but otherwise as long as you pop on a pair of Primark’s ‘invisible socks’ and maybe a plaster on each ankle for good measure they’re fine, and are great value at £20!

I’m really liking drop hem dresses and fluted skirts at the moment, and I just had to have this one from SheInside -I love the very simplistic square checked print and as usual, it’s great value at £19.21! It is super short (be warned tall ladies, I’m 5’6″ and wearing a medium and it is JUST long enough to be decent), so is definitely one to be worn with thick opaque tights. I wasn’t completely sold on the ruffle details on the sleeves at first, but I think I have definitely come round to them; they soften the whole thing up and echo the shape of the fluted hem which is really cute. If you’re not feeling them though, they would be easy to simply cut off the dress because they’re attached inside the sleeve and the seam is totally hidden. I finished off my outfit with my standard Topshop Adonis ankle boots, ASOS ‘Coatigan’ and a white satchel from Primark.

I don’t think you can go wrong with a slip dress. I definitely feel like I’m channeling ‘underwear as outerwear’ here, which is why I paired this satin slip and sheer cape combo with chunky boots and a good helping of rings and necklaces – hopefully I’ve avoided looking like I’m actually off to bed rather than off out!
Motel’s slip dresses are ideal day-to-night wear; I would definitely wear an outfit like this for a party or night out, but I could just as easily throw on a chunky or fluffy knit jumper and a leather biker or cocoon coat and the dress would be daytime appropriate. The nude shade of this particular dress makes it extra versatile, but I have been eyeing up the powder pink, blue and the midi length versions too!

Glamorous* | Skirt – Coast* | Shoes – Primark
I just can’t get over how perfect this skirt is! The ‘Aralynn’ skirt from Coast is the most gorgeous shape; the heavy fabric feels really luxurious and the pleats and slightly asymmetric hem give it a stunning silhouette. It seems mandatory for everyone to own a full midi skirt at the moment, and this is definitely the perfect formal take on the trend. Plus, it’s pink, so is definitely a win-win piece. I wish I had a wedding or super fancy garden party to wear it to this summer! Take a look at the rest of Coast’s SS14 collection online now.
Here I’ve paired the skirt with black – these ankle strap pointed heels from Primark go with almost anything, and I love my new satin wrap blouse from Glamorous.

Neoprene-like, ‘scuba’ fabrics are everywhere at the moment, and I love the structured look they create. Even the pleats of this fab Front Row Shop scuba skirt look much more boxy and structured in this fabric, and this boxy scuba crop top from Missguided is super versatile and is the perfect colour to pair with summer pastels as well as black as I have done here. To finish off my outfit I threw on my relaxed, slouchy coat and wore my hair long (with Halo extensions) and curly, to soften up the structured top and skirt. How do you feel about ‘scuba’ fabrics?

How fab is this Motel print, ‘Winter Rose Red‘? Perhaps this post isn’t aptly named, as I wore this outfit in the (comparatively) glorious sunshine yesterday when it definitely felt like spring had sprung! As well as the print, I love the style of this button down babydoll dress, adorable and super easy to wear. It is very short though, so taller ladies be aware (I’m 5’6″ and wearing size S). Yesterday I stuck with the red/blue of the print and paired the dress with my new bargain coat from Hidden Fashion – a bit of a bolder colour pairing than I usually go for but I felt a bit colourful thanks to the sun.

Jacket – Primark | Playsuit – Missguided* | Bag – Primark | Boots – Missguided*
You might’ve seen on my Instagram that I received the cutest Valentine’s Day package from the lovely people over at Missguided last month. Amongst heart shaped chocolate goodies and some Rimmel make-up (now stocked by Missguided) was this fabulously romantic rose print playsuit. I love the fit and the lace trim, ideal for date night or perfect under a cropped jumper for a more casual outfit.
Here I wore it with my new baby pink faux leather biker, an absoulte steal at £25 from Primark! I have been eyeing up River Island’s real and faux leather versions (£120 and £60 respectively), so I snapped this up as soon as I saw it. It goes perfectly with this adorable baby pink mini satchel bag too, another bargain at £6.
How would you style a lace trim playsuit?

Coat – Front Row Shop* | T-shirt – New Look | Bag – Primark | Jeans – Vintage (similar) | Shoes – Daniel Footwear*
Slip-ons are enjoying a massive surge in popularity at the moment, a bit of a throwback to those of us who were fans of the classic Vans checkered slip-on back in the good old days. Thanks to Daniel Footwear, I’m taking part in the resurgence! I love these textured leopard slip-ons, which have a very ‘sports luxe’ feel to them and unlike their Topshop counterparts are lovely and comfortable. As you can see here they can really make an otherwise basic outfit!
Last weekend I wore mine with ‘mom’ jeans, a basic white t-shirt and current favourite pastel blue coat from Front Row Shop. At the moment I’m a fan of smaller, cross body bags, like this one which is a bargain £6 from Primark. I’m normally one for carrying around a giant bag so that I can take everything I might possibly need with me wherever I go, but I am trying to wean myself off them and onto more sensible bags like this one. How do you feel about slip-ons?

Cape – Lashes of London* | Dress – Yumi* | Necklace – Delilah Dust @ The Little Deer* | Shoes – Choies*
I love a good all black outfit every now and again. My latest LBD is this adorable lace insert number from Yumi, which is cute for daytime but the heavy fabric and lace detail make it perfect for dressing up too. Here I paired it with my new favourite cover-up, Lashes of London‘s ‘Daisy Chain’ cape, and a Delilah Dust Pendant from The Little Deer. I think this outfit has a bit of a witchy vibe, I’m probably trying to fill the style void left in my life now that AHS: Coven has finished. If I was a witch then maybe I’d swap my flats for some thigh high suede heeled boots a la Madison Montgomery, but sadly I’m not so I went for my cute Marc Jacobs esque dog flats from Choies instead.
I’m wearing something else new too – my hair! I have Halo extensions in, which I was kindly gifted at their blogger event last weekend. I’m in love with them, keep your eyes out for a full post about Halo!
