So I’m all out of Paris outfit snaps (see here, here and here if you missed them!), but on my trip to France I also visited my godmother and her family at their home near the city of Lyon. They live in a lovely little village full of vineyards, so I got some pictures whilst out on a walk. I’m wearing a comfy and cute playsuit from Motel in one of those prints (‘Antique Posey’) that I really want every single piece in – just look at all the amazing bits here! Paris OOTD | Polka Dot Dress

Here is my third and final Paris outfit, and of course I had to go with la tour Eiffel as my backdrop! I wore a simple but very cute polka dot dress from Motel’s vintage collection – the ‘Vinnie’ dress also comes in all sorts of other individual prints. I paired it with my H&M trench coat and comfortable Vans Sk8 His – very necessary for all the walking around and also tackling all the stairs in the Eiffel tower (we only took the stairs on the way down, I think I would’ve died walking up them!). Unfortunately the summit of the tower was closed due to a blocked toilet (yes, really) but there was still a great view from the second floor.

With the horrible weather we’re having at the moment, I’ve had a sudden urge to blog all the summery outfits I’ve photographed over the past few weeks. Here’s hoping for a little more sun before winter kicks in, but I am really excited to wear all my coats again! This is a super fun, super casual, somewhat practical and also very bargainous outfit I wore on a hot day of hanging out with friends and seeing some bands a couple of weeks ago. The shorts are another American Apparel dupe, this time from 6ks, and are only £15.50 as opposed to the much heftier AA price tag of £54! My bralet style top is also very reasonably priced at £5.99, and although Vans Sk8 His now retail at around £50 they’re probably my most worn shoe and so are totally worth the price tag! Mine are completely battered now, so I need to reiterate this to myself as justification for repurchasing.

ASOS Wishlist
It’s that time again – ASOS have 25% off for students! I always get quite overwhelmed by the sheer amount of stuff there is on ASOS, so I have thrown together a little wishlist to inspire you if you want to take advantage of the discount but don’t know where to start.
  1. Vagabond Erie Sliders – ‘sliders’ were my first port of call when I started to browse ASOS this morning – it hasn’t been warm enough for me to bare my toes just yet, but I’ll definitely be picking up a pair of the super on trend sandals before summer comes. This pair by Vagabond are my favourites so far, they are quite steep at £55, but maybe now is the time to snap them up at a much more reasonable £41.25?
  2. New Look Flux Cleated Sole Sandals – more sandals; this pair from New Look are fab and are only £19.99 to begin with. I don’ think these quite fall into the ‘sliders’ category but they’re a great, versatile sandal which would go with almost any outfit.
  3. ASOS Strappy Crop Top With Wrap Front – cute little top to throw on under an overshirt or wear by itself for a summer evening out.
  4. New Look Gingham Shirt – gingham is everywhere at the moment, but most of my gingham prints are on mega girly silhouettes, for example floaty dresses and skirts. I’m going to buy this shirt to mix it up a bit! 
  5. Vans Sk8 Hi – my black and white Vans Sk8 His are probably my most worn shoes, so I’m extremely tempted to pick up this all white pair for the summer months! 
  6. ASOS Rescue Me Ankle Boots – how amazing are these?! I struggle to wean myself off ankle boots when the weather warms up, so a pastel pair with cut out detailing would be the perfect solution – swap your black ankle boots out for these for an instant summer outfit update. 
  7. ASOS Western Tip Waist Belt – there’s no particular reason for including this belt here, other than I could do with a new one and I like the larger silver buckle and ‘Western’ style detailing of this one. 
  8. theBalm Luminizer – don’t forget that ASOS stocks a massive range of beauty brands too; I’ve heard great things about this highlighter and really want to try it out. 
  9. ASOS High Shine Rain Mac – with festival season approaching I’ve seen many wistful wishlists of tiny denim shorts and crochet vests, but realistically it’s probably better to invest in an adorable waterproof like this one. 
  10. ASOS Fluffy Cocoon Coat – is it too close to summer to be buying coats? Nahh, not if they look like this one anyway! 
  11. ASOS Felt Fedora – a fedora finishes off any outfit perfectly, and I love that this one comes in lilac!
I could go on and on; I also love this duster coat, this satin slip dress, these crepe cigarette trousers, this heart print midi skirt, and this crochet fringed kimono. Happy shopping!

Outfit Of The Day | American Apparel Stripes

As you will have seen if you follow me on Instagram, the lovely people at American Apparel have been kind enough to send me a selection of goodies recently, including this fab dress! I’m a big fan of stripes (in case you hadn’t figured this out by now!), particularly those of the skinny black and white variety, so this is perfect. It’s easy to wear casually with Vans Sk8 His like I have here, but I would definitely put it on for a casual night out with some chunky heeled ankle boots too. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that this dress is £36 – great value for such a versatile piece! And if you’re not a fan of stripes, it’s available in a whole array of plain colours too.

Yesterday I enjoyed the nice weather in this super cute vintage style tea dress from bonprix. Also available in red, it looks great belted or not and would be flattering on almost any figure. I wore the dress with my battered old vans yesterday, but a cute pair of white brogues or some strappy sandals would make an outfit perfect for a summer BBQ or garden party, or casual meal out.

The pinafore trend might be everywhere at the moment, but it’s too damn cute to pass up! Yesterday I wore this coral pinafore dress from Desire Clothing, which also comes in four other great colours and is a bargain at £16. I paired it with what has become my new favourite t-shirt from SheInside, trusty Vans Sk8 His and Illamasqua lipstick in ‘Scandal’ which I got during their half price offer and is a perfect match with this dress. I couldn’t be more excited about the warm weather we’ve had this weekend!

I loved the super sweet and simple monochromatic flower prints at Prada SS13, and whilst unfortunately my budget doesn’t quite stretch far enough to own any of those myself, this semi-sheer t-shirt from SheInside is a great alternative and is a huge bargain at £12.40! I’ve already worn it a bunch of times since I received it, but today I paired it with my new white midi skirt with mesh panels from River Island (£22), my now slightly battered Vans Sk8 His, New Look monochrome bag and MeeMee jacket*. 
I think it’s probably about time I started wearing some colour again! Hopefully my freshly dyed hair is enough for now, because I’m still definitely not over monochrome.

With free next day UK delivery and 10% student discount it’s always tempting to buy something from MissGuided, and so when I saw this mini dogtooth print American Apparel style crop roll neck I couldn’t resist! Although crop tops aren’t the most practical pieces for winter for some people, I still find them very wearable with high waisted bottoms and more layers, and the monochrome print is perfect to pair with rich, autumnal colours and textures. Recently I’ve become obsessed with jeans in all shapes and sizes (well, almost), and my latest go-to pair are these vintage ‘boyfriend’ style jeans which I got from Retrograde Vintage.
