I’m so keen to wear all the summery pieces I’m collecting, but it’s still too damn cold! This weekend I paired this ultra cute floaty pastel pink shirt dress from Fabric Boutique with a soft grey jumper, and then a black coat to balance out the black tights on my legs and boots on my feet. The very pale grey jumper is such a good way of toning down pastels a little and keeping warm at the same time, definitely one of my most versatile purchases from this winter which will hopefully take me through until it is actually warm enough to not wear a jumper.
New favourite jacket alert! I had my beady eyes on the Topshop version of this luxurious looking shearling jacket but at £75 I wasn’t persuaded, so I was excited to spot this on the SheInside website. This is a faux suede texture rather than wool like the Topshop jacket, which I actually prefer, and although the quality is slightly inferior it is absolutely worth the £28.50 it costs. My skirt is also a new addition to my wardrobe from SheInside, the dark plaid and thick wool-like texture make it an ideal winter skirt and I love the wrap style. I opted for a simple black velvet t-shirt (mine is vintage but it’s one of my favourite winter wardrobe go-to pieces, you can get a similar version here), tights and boots to finish off the outfit. Finally I kept jewellery to a minimum with my usual Marc By Marc Jacobs watch and lovely new crystal pendant by Delilah Dust from The Little Deer.
The sales seem to start earlier and earlier each year, and now they have me spending my Christmas money before I’ve even got it! Here are some of my favourites from the sequins and shoes sections of this year’s Topshop sale:
Sequins
Can you ever have too many sequins? Clearly not. I find Topshop’s sequinned and embellished pieces to be a little overpriced normally, so the sale is the perfect time to snap them up. I bagged myself the pink sequin crop tee!
Stuck for Christmas list ideas? Sadly I constantly have a list as long as my arm of things I want to own, but not everyone does so I put together a very luxe looking winter outfit which is heading up my wishlist at the moment. All the clothing is Topshop, who are currently offering free worldwide delivery so now is the perfect time to order! I’m obsessed with the grey vinyl skirt, although at £100 I think I might have to wait for the sale or keep my eye out for a dupe. The cropped fluffy jumper is a much more reasonable £34 and is definitely a winter essential. This coat is just gorgeous too! I love that it has no collar (I’m really feeling either oversized collars or no collar at all on coats at the moment, no middle ground!), and I think that the print and the silhouette are both super chic. I also think that the colours would look great with this rose gold Michael Kors watch I picked from JRDunn. I’m normally not a Michael Kors fan when it comes to watches as I think they’re mostly far too chunky for my scrawny wrists, but I think that this one is fab and rose gold makes a nice change from the traditional options of silver or gold. What’s at the top of your Christmas wishlist?
